The Standards Act 1941—Draft Amendment to the New Zealand Standard Specification for Concrete Materials and Methods of Test (N.Z.S.S. 1051:1953)

Pursuant to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the above draft amendment is being circulated under the reference number D 6689.
All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, on application, obtain copies free of charge from the New Zealand Standards Institute, 201 Lambton Quay, or P.O. Box 195, Wellington C.1.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 31 July 1961.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in Borough of Mosgiel (Notice No. Ag. 7303)

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Mosgiel Borough Council on the 12th day of June 1961.

SPECIAL ORDER
Resolved that, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Mosgiel Borough Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, that the plants set out in the Schedule hereto be, and the same are hereby declared to be, noxious weeds within the Borough of Mosgiel on and after the 1st day of July 1961, in addition to those plants listed in the Schedule to the special order made by the said Council on the 18th day of June 1951.

Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Wild turnip (Brassica campestris).

Pursuant to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Pahiatua Borough Council on the 12th day of June 1961.

SPECIAL ORDER
Pursuant to the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and the several Acts amending same respectively and all other powers and authorities, the Pahiatua Borough Council, by special order, creates the following plants as noxious weeds:
Barberry (Berberis darwinii).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Cape tulip (Homeria collina).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Goat's rue (Galega officinalis).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Hawthorn (Crataegus oxycantha and Crataegus monogyna).
Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum).
Lupin (Lupinus arboreus).
Montpelier broom (Cytisus monspessulanus).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum).
Saffron thistle (Carthamus lanatus).
Sweetbriar (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).
Spiderwort (Leycesteria formosa).
Tutsan (Hypericum androsaemum).
