Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Northern Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board
Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for a site for Rabbit Board buildings, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Northern Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board, in trust, for that purpose.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT
SECTION 9, Block II, Moeangi Survey District: Area, 1 acre 2 roods, more or less. (S.O. Plan 3339.)

Vesting a Reserve in the Taranaki County Council
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby vests the reserve described in the Schedule hereto in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Taranaki in trust, for recreation purposes.

Setting Apart Area of Lake Roxburgh for Use by Speedboats
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1958, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that for a period of two years from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the First Schedule hereto, regulations 9 and 10 of the Motor Launch Regulations shall not apply within the area of water described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
The area shall be marked as follows:

  1. On the northern river bank at each end of the area defined in the Second Schedule there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted white with black letters.
  2. The aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following notice:
    “MOTOR LAUNCH REGULATIONS 1958
    For a distance of 25 chains upstream of the Alexandra Bridge speedboats may operate at speeds greater than 5 m.p.h.”
    SECOND SCHEDULE
    All that area of water in Lake Roxburgh, Clutha River, between the Alexandra Bridge and a point 25 chains upstream.

    Licensing Laurence McPhail to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Sea at South Bay, Kaikoura as a Site for a Slipway
    Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Laurence McPhail, of Christchurch (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his executors, administrators, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at South Bay, Kaikoura, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10845 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining a slipway thereon, as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
    SCHEDULE
  3. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, as far as applicable, apply hereto.
  4. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable three pounds (£3).
  5. The term of this licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of June 1961.
  6. The licensee shall not at any time time leave on the roadside any fish boxes or fish pots or any other gear.

    Licensing Norman Thomas Talbett to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Harbour at Kohukohu, Hokianga Harbour, as a Site for a Boat Slip and Shed
    Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Norman Thomas Talbett, of Hokianga (hereinafter called the “licensee”, which term shall include his executors, administrators, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the harbour at Kohukohu, Hokianga Harbour, as shown on plans marked M.D. 2843 and M.D. 3457 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a boat slip and shed as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
    SCHEDULE
  7. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  8. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of May 1961.

    Scheme of Control of Edgecumbe Post-primary School
    Pursuant to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby approves of the Edgecumbe Post-primary school being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961 published in the Gazette of 8 June 1961, page 820:
    Provided that:
    (a) Clause 10 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:
    “Provided that the first such election of members to the Board shall be held as soon as convenient after the opening of the school, but no later than the first week of the month of May in the year 1962.”
    (b) The said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the clause numbered 12A, set out in the Schedule hereto, were inserted after clause 12:
    (c) Clause 18 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:
    “Provided that every member appointed or elected for the first term of office of the Board shall hold office until the 31st day of May in the year 1965, whether or not that year is the third year after the year of his appointment or election.”

    12A. (1) In every case where any member is to be elected by members of the School Committees of the public schools, in accordance with paragraph (d) of clause 2 of the Edgecumbe Post-primary School Board of Governors Order 1961,
