THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Thames County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road at Whangamata in the County of Thames; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk of the said Council, situate in Mary Street, Thames, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Mary Street, Thames.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Timaru City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, a sewage treatment works; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in King George’s Place, Timaru, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, King George’s Place, Timaru.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF PIAKO COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME

Section IV—Balance of the County

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to resolutions made on the 19th day of October 1959 relating to the Townships in detail and on 21 April 1960 to the whole of Section IV, this section of a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. Section IV of the scheme has been deposited at the County Office, Kenrick Street, Te Aroha, and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the County Office is open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960 and shall be lodged at the County Office at any time not later than 5 p.m. on 6 October 1961. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the County Clerk in writing, within a period of which public notice will be given.

In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and in the matter of a charitable trust established under the will of Norman Cunningham, late of Auckland, retired hotel proprietor, deceased.

NOTICE is hereby given that The New Zealand Insurance Company Ltd. has filed in the Supreme Court at Auckland a motion for approval of a scheme to extend or vary the powers conferred upon it as trustee of the will of Norman Cunningham, deceased, under Probate No. 2023/55. The said will provided for the establishment of fellowships for the advancement of research in animal welfare and veterinary science. The scheme now submitted for approval seeks extension or variation of the terms upon which such fellowships are to be granted and held in order to facilitate the carrying out by the trustee of the intention of the said Norman Cunningham, deceased.

Notice is further given that the application for approval of the scheme is to be heard by the Court at Auckland on Friday, the 28th day of July 1961, at 10 a.m., and any person desiring to oppose this scheme is hereby requested to give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland, and to the New Zealand Insurance Co. Ltd. at the office of its solicitors hereunder mentioned and to the Attorney-General not less than seven clear days before the said date of hearing.

In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and of the Judicature Act 1908 and in the matter of the estate of Patrick Joseph Flannagan, late of New Plymouth, commission agent, deceased.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 36 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, of application to the Supreme Court at New Plymouth for the approval of a scheme of the trustees of the above-mentioned estate for the administration of a certain charitable bequest under the will of the above-named deceased. The trustees have prepared a scheme for the disposition of moneys held by them and by the Taranaki Hospital Board which, by the will of the above-named deceased, are directed to be applied by the said Board for the benefit of the convalescent ward of the New Plymouth Hospital.
