FIRST SCHEDULE
The Valetta Extension water-supply works, to provide a water supply to the Valetta Extension Water Supply District (described in the Second Schedule hereto) by means of water drawn from the Rangitata diversion race and from any dams or dams which are or may be constructed on the said Rangitata diversion race, such water being conveyed into the said district by a water race known as the Valetta water-supply race, and by any enlargement or extension thereof; or by any other water race or races constructed or acquired by the Minister of Works in addition to or in lieu of the said Valetta water-supply race and any enlargement or extension thereof; the said works, including all water races, dams, weirs, reservoirs, tunnels, fluming, siphons, piping, gauge boxes, break-pressure tanks, valves, bridges, pumps, spillways, regulating gates, hydrants, meters, and all other works incidental to or required for the construction, maintenance, and control of the said works to provide a water supply to the said Valetta Extension Water Supply District.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Ashburton County, containing 4,685 acres 3 roods 25·8 perches, more or less, being Rural Sections 28659 and 37821, situated in Blocks XI and XIV, Westerfield Survey District: Area, 376 acres and 25 perches, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume 75, folio 39, and Volume 545, folio 180.
Rural Section 28274, situated in Blocks X and XI, Westerfield Survey District: Area, 320 acres, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 463, folio 48.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
LICENCE

This order may be cited as the Hamilton City Council Electric Lines Licence 1961.

Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Hamilton City Council (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the First Schedule hereto.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (h) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1982.

The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule hereto authorising the licensee to erect and use electric lines are hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ELECTRIC LINES

Lines for the transmission and supply of electrical energy within all that area in the City of Hamilton shown outlined in red on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 567 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Lines for the transmission of electrical energy commencing at the New Zealand Electricity Department’s sub-station situated in Allotments 223A and 304, Block XIV, Komakarau Survey District, and proceeding
(a) in a southerly direction to the southern side of State Farm Road and thence in a westerly direction along the southern side of that road to the boundary of the area of supply described in the first paragraph of this Schedule.
(b) in a northerly direction to the southern side of the Hamilton-Rotorua Railway and thence in a westerly direction along the southern side of that railway to the boundary of the area of supply described in the first paragraph of this Schedule.
As the said lines are more particularly shown coloured red on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 567 deposited as aforesaid.
