A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being
an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a site
for a public school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen,
freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the
same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or ease-
ments affecting the same at the date hereof.

At the Government House at Wellington this 24th day of
May 1961
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

O R D E R
- (1) This order may be cited as the Taupo Rabbit District
Order 1961.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
date of its notification in the Gazette. - The boundaries of the Taupo Rabbit District, which was
constituted by Order in Council on the 21st day of October
1953,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the
commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said
district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE TAUPO RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District in the
Otorohanga, Taumarunui, and Taupo Counties containing
423,000 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing
at the confluence of the Waipapa and Waikato Rivers in
Block XVI, Wharepapa Survey District, and proceeding
generally easterly, southerly, and westerly up the middle of
the Waikato River to the northern shore of Lake Taupo in
Block II, Tauhara Survey District; thence westerly and
southerly generally along the northern and western shores of
Lake Taupo to the mouth of the Whanganui Stream; thence
westerly generally up the middle of the stream to the western
boundary of Hauhungaroa No. 2c Block; thence northerly
generally along that boundary and part of the southern
boundary of Waihaha No. (3d 1 and 3E 4) C Block, the
southern and western boundaries of Waihaha No. 3A Block,
and the western boundaries of Tihoi No. 3B 8A and 3B
Blocks to Trig. Station 1390 (Pureora) in Block III, Hurakia
Survey District; thence along a right line to the source of
the Ongarue River and along another right line in the
direction of Trig. Station 1641 (Rangitoto) in Block IV,
Pakaumana Survey District, to the south-eastern boundary of
Maraeroa A 3B 2 Block in Block XIV, Ranginui Survey
District, crossing the aforesaid Maraeroa A 2 and Maraeroa
A 3A Blocks; thence along the south-eastern and eastern
boundaries of the aforesaid A 3B 2 Block, along the eastern
boundary of Maraeroa A 1 Block, to and along the south-
eastern boundary of Pouakani B 7 Block and the production
of that boundary to and down the middle of the Waiteti
Stream to a point in Block XI, Ranginui Survey District due
west of Trig. Station 1781 in Block X, Whakamaru Survey
District; thence due west along a right line crossing the
aforesaid Pouakani B 7 Block and the Waipapa River to a
point due south of the northernmost corner of Section 2,
Block VII, Ranginui Survey District; thence along a right
line crossing Pouakani A 3B, Pouakani A 3A Blocks and the
aforesaid Section 2 to the said northernmost corner; thence
along another right line crossing part Wharepuhanga 20 and
Pouakani A 2B Blocks to the confluence of the Maunukiore
Stream and the Waipapa River and down the middle of that
river to the point of commencement.
