Declaring an Area of Land in the Auckland Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge in the Auckland Acclimatisation District for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE

PARTS Allotment 32A, Paremoremo Parish: Area, 120 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less. All certificates of title, Volume 581, folios 190 and 188. (S.O. Plans 2474c and 40635.)

Also parts Allotment 172, Paremoremo Parish: Area 52 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 704, folio 53. (S.O. Plan 42639.)

Also Lot 1, D.P. 48673, being part Allotment 173, Paremoremo Parish: Area, 1 acre and 38·8 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 614, folio 214. (S.O. Plan 41959.)

Also Lot 1, D.P. 46899, being part Allotment 202, Takapuna Parish: Area, 18 acres 3 roods 4 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 845, folio 58.

Declaring Land, Taranaki Land District, as a Wildlife Refuge in the Taranaki Acclimatisation District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 10 January 1957, Volume I, page 6, notifying a certain area to be a wildlife refuge under the said Act, and hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

THE Islands of Motuotamatea (3 acres, more or less), Pararaki (2 acres, more or less), and Mataora (1 acre 3 roods, more or less), situated in the City of New Plymouth, and being more particularly shown on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at New Plymouth as No. 7675; also the Island of Motumahanga (3 acres, more or less), being more particularly shown on a plan deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at New Plymouth as No. 3830; and the Island of Moturoa (4 acres, approximately): All situated in Block IV, Paritutu Survey District. Total area, 13 acres 3 roods, more of less.

As the same are shown on a plan marked I.A. 52/411 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 20th day of May 1961.

Authorising Arthur Redvers Buller Norriss, of Maruia River Valley, Murchison, Farmer, to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Murchison

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 10th day of May 1961

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Arthur Redvers Buller Norriss, of Maruia River Valley, Murchison, farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and shall be an alternating-current system.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1982, or until electrical energy is available from an electric-power board or other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE

LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described commencing from the licensee’s generator and proceeding:
(1) In an easterly direction across a public road to the licensee’s residence.
(2) In a northerly direction to a shearing shed.

All being situated in Section 19, Block XVI, Burnett Survey District, in the County of Murchison; the said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 560 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 17th day of May 1961

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use of the owners thereof.
