Land Proclaimed Street in the City of Wellington
COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as street the land
described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
All those pieces of land situated in the City of Wellington,
Wellington R.D., described as follows:
A. R. P. Being
0 3 22·2 Part Section 7, Evans Bay District, and part Lots 11 to 25, D.P. 2158, being part Sections 5 and 7,
Evans Bay District.
1 0 9·2 Part Section 7, Evans Bay District, and part Lots 26 to 45, D.P. 2158, being part Section 7, Evans
Bay District.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.O.W. 2600 (S.O. 23806), and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 22nd day of April 1961.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 17th day of
April 1961

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets
apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a burial
ground for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Pikiao
subtribe of the Arawa tribe.

Pursuant to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the Waipa County Council stopping the portions of road
described in the Schedule hereto.

District, Auckland R.D., described as follows:

The Western Side of Portion of Evans Bay Parade, in the
City of Wellington, Exempted from the Provisions of
Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 17th day of
April 1961

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves
of the resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on
the 16th day of November 1960 and set out in the First
Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion
of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having
control of the streets in Wellington City, by resolution
declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public
Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the western side of the
portion of Evans Bay Parade adjoining Lots 1, 2, and 3,
L.T. 18551, part now being Lots 1 and 2, L.T. 20239,
comprised in certificates of title 416/227 (part), 416/230
(part), and certificate of title 793/1, Wellington Registry,
as is more particularly shown on the plan annexed hereto.
SECOND SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
The western side of all that portion of street, situated in the
City of Wellington, known as Evans Bay Parade fronting
part Section 4, Evans Bay District, as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2474
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.

Authorising the Gisborne Harbour Board to Reclaim Land at
the Taruheru River

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 17th day of
April 1961

Pursuant to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the Gisborne Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea at the
Taruheru River 2 roods 22 perches of land, more or less, as
shown on plan marked M.D. 10958 and deposited in the office
of the Marine Department at Wellington.

Authorising the Laying Off of a Street off Parsons Street in
the City of New Plymouth, Subject to a Condition as to
the Building Line

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 17th day of
April 1961
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act
1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the New Plymouth City Council to permit the laying off
of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a
width for part of its length of less than 66ft, but not less
than 40 ft, subject to the condition that no building or part
of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 12, 13,
17 to 22 (inclusive) of a subdivision of the land shown
edged green on the plan marked M.O.W. 2456 referred to
in the said Schedule within a distance of 15 ft from the
side line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT
That proposed street in the City of New Plymouth containing
37 perches, more or less, being part Lot 4, D.P. 8297, being
part Section 46, Fitzroy District; as the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2456 de-
posited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.
