MATEA FORESTS LTD.

NOTICE OF CEASING TO CARRY ON BUSINESS

Notice is hereby given that, by special resolution passed on
23 February 1961, Matea Forests Ltd., a company incor-
orated in New South Wales and having a place of business
at Whakatane, New Zealand, resolved that it be wound up
voluntarily and that John Gerald Warden Vallance, of 27
Hunter Street, Sydney, chartered accountant, be appointed
liquidator, and, further, notice is given that after the expira-
tion of three months from first publication of this notice the
said company will cease to have a place of business in New
Zealand.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waiau Pa Hall Loan 1959, £9,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of nine thousand pounds (£9,000) authorised to be
raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a new hall at Waiau
Pa, the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of decimal six two three pence (0·623d.)
in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unim-
proved value) of all rateable property appearing on the
valuation roll for the Waiau Pa Hall Special-rating Area of
the County of Franklin; and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25
years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a reso-
lution passed by the Franklin County Council on 8 March
1961.

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Plant and Equipment Loan 1960 of £8,000

Notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the above Council
held on the 20th day of March 1961 the following resolution
was passed:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of eight thousand pounds (£8,000) authorised to be
raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing plant and
equipment, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes
a special rate of three farthings (¼d.) in the pound on the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Te Kuiti,
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the
1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of eight (8) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off."

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £5,000, to be known as the Stratford Borough Council
Housing Loan 1960, £5,000, authorised to be raised by the
Stratford Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of erecting a staff house for the Borough
Engineer, the said Stratford Borough Council hereby makes a
special rate of 0·0005 of a pound (£) on the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
of the Borough of Stratford, comprising the whole of the
Borough of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an

annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20
years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of the resolution passed at a special meeting of the Stratford
Borough Council held on Tuesday, the 21st day of February
1961.

HUTT VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER AND GAS BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt
Valley Electric Power and Gas Board hereby resolves as
follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £265,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt Valley
Electric Power and Gas Board under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of providing at the Board's depot adequate
stores, garage, workshops, loading gantries, and works inci-
dental thereto, the said Hutt Valley Electric Power and Gas
Board hereby makes a special rate of four twenty-fifths of a
penny in the pound (4/25d.) upon the rateable value (on the
basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of
the Hutt Valley Electric Power District, comprising the
Boroughs of Eastbourne, Petone, Upper Hutt, and Tawa,
the City of Lower Hutt, part of the City of Wellington, part
of the Hutt County, and part of Makara County; and that
the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day
of March in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off."

GERALDINE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES

Water Reservoir Loan 1960, £19,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Geraldine Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £19,000 authorised to be raised by the Geraldine
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
erecting of a 500,000-gallon water reservoir, the said Gerald-
ine Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 3½d. in the
pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in
the Borough of Geraldine; and that the special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and
be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of April and the 15th
day of October in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off."

Fire Engine Loan (No. 2) 1958, £1,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Geraldine Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £1,000 authorised to be raised by the Geraldine
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
chase of a fire engine, the said Geraldine Borough Council
hereby makes a special rate of 7/16 of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the
Borough of Geraldine; and that the special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and
be payable yearly on the 28th day of January in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of
ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £100,000 to be known as the Maitai
Water Supply Loan No. 1 (1960), authorised to be raised by
the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of purchasing pipes for the construction of a
water supply scheme for the Maitai Valley and erecting a
caretaker's cottage for use in connection with the scheme, the
said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of three hundred and five - five hundred and twelfths of
