NELSON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £48,000 to be known as the Maitai
Water Supply Loan No. 2 (1960), authorised to be raised by
the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of constructing a reservoir and laying a pipeline
for a public water-supply scheme from the Maitai Valley, the
said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of seventy-three - five hundred and twelfths of a penny
(73/512d.) in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis
of the unimproved value on all rateable property in the City
of Nelson comprising the whole of the said city; and such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 23rd
day of July in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such loan is
paid off.”

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Feilding Borough Council pro-
poses to execute a certain public work, namely, to provide
land for building sites; and for the purpose of such public
work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to
be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the
lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office
of the Town Clerk of the said Council, situated in Kimbolton
Road, Feilding, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all
persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of the said lands, who have any well
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands, must set out their objections
in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk at his office
aforesaid.

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD
SPECIAL ORDER
Loan No. 26, 1959, £2,200,000—Third Issue £200,000
“THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise of
the powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan Drain-
age Act 1960, and in pursuance of the authority conferred on
it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise
of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby
resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special
order, to borrow the sum of £200,000 (two hundred thousand
pounds) as a special loan and to be portion of a special loan
known as Loan No. 26, 1959, £2,200,000, to be applied for
the purposes of meeting costs and expenses incidental to the
construction of the Manukau scheme of main drainage for
Auckland.”
The foregoing special order was made by way of a special
resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on
the 1st day of February 1961.
It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star on the 11th
day and 25th day of February 1961 and confirmed at the
ordinary meeting of the Board on the 1st day of March 1961.
The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage
Board was hereto affixed this 1st day of March 1961 in the
presence of—

RANGITIKEI CATCHMENT BOARD
SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR PLANT LOAN (NO. 4) 1960
THAT, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in
it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and all
other powers and authorities enabling, the Rangitikei Catch-
ment Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of £8,950 authorised to be raised by
the Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of
purchasing plant, equipment, and vehicles, the said Rangitikei
Catchment Board hereby makes and levies a special rate
of nought decimal point nought one nought five of a penny
(0·0105d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis
of the capital value) of all rateable property in the said
Board’s district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be
payable on the last day of September in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
