The Waitaki North Cemetery Order 1961

COBHAM, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 6th day of March 1961

Present:

THE HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Waitaki North Cemetery Order 1961.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1961.

  1. The Waimate County Council is hereby appointed to be the trustee of the Waitaki North Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, and shall have the control and management of that cemetery under and for the purposes of the Cemeteries Act 1908.

  2. (1) The delegation to the Waimate County Council of the powers of appointing and removing trustees of the said cemetery made by Order in Council dated the 18th day of September 1933* is hereby revoked.

(2) The said Order in Council is hereby accordingly amended by omitting from the second column of the Schedule thereto the words "Waitaki North".

SCHEDULE

WAITAKI NORTH CEMETERY

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing 5 acres, more or less (S.O. Plan 4770), being Reserve 2914, situated in Block XIV, Waitaki Survey District.

The Otaio Cemetery Order 1961

THE HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Cemeteries Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Otaio Cemetery Order 1961.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1961.

  1. The Waimate County Council is hereby appointed to be the trustee of the Otaio Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, and shall have the control and management of that cemetery under and for the purposes of the Cemeteries Act 1908.

Rangitikei College Board of Governors Order 1961

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 90 of the Education Act 1914, as amended by section 10 of the Education Amendment Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Rangitikei College Board of Governors Order 1961.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of May 1961.

  1. The constitution of the Board of Governors of the Rangitikei College, prescribed by section 90 of the Education Act 1914, is hereby varied so that the school shall be controlled by a Board of Governors constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Wanganui Education Board;

(b) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school, of which members at least two shall be women;

(c) One member appointed by the Governor-General;

(d) One member appointed by the Marton Borough Council;

(e) One member appointed by the Rangitikei County Council.

Postponing the Revision of District Valuation Rolls

PURSUANT to the Valuation of Land Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the revision of the district valuation rolls for the Oreti, Waikaia, Hokonui, Mataura, and Toetoes Ridings of Southland County shall be postponed, and that such revision shall thereupon be made not later than the 31st day of March 1962.
