CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Drainage Loan No. 3 1960, £40,700

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of forty thousand seven hundred pounds (£40,700) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out major stormwater drainage works, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought four three pence (·0043d.) in the pound upon the capital rateable value of the Board’s land drainage area, as described in a resolution of the Board dated the 22nd day of May 1952 and as altered from time to time by resolutions of the Board under section 59 of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board held on the 21st day of February 1961.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1960, £40,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of forty thousand pounds (£40,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing housing for staff, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought four two two pence (·00422d.) in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property within that part of the Christchurch Drainage District described in Schedule C and in Schedule B, as altered from time to time in terms of section 5 (f) of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act 1922 and section 60 of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, to a resolution of the Board dated the 17th day of April 1923; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board held on the 21st day of February 1961.

SPECIAL AREA

Alteration of Boundary

In the matter of the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951 and in the matter of the Special Area known as the Sewer Extension Loan Special Area as defined by resolution of the Board dated the 17th day of April 1923 and published in the Gazette No. 37 dated the 26th day of April 1923, and as from time to time altered under the provisions of section 5, Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act 1922, and section 60, Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, by resolutions of the Christchurch Drainage Board and published in the Gazette.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it by the Christchurch District Drainage Act 1951, the Christchurch Drainage Board, at a meeting held on the 21st day of February 1961, resolved that the boundary of the said Special Area hereinbefore described and defined be further altered so as to include in the said Special Area all those areas briefly described in the Schedules hereto, and further resolved that the said areas shall form part of and be included in the Subdivision B of the said Special Area and that the boundaries of said Subdivision B be altered accordingly so as to include all those areas.

The areas outlined above may be inspected on maps at the Board’s office, 198 Hereford Street, Christchurch, by any elector during office hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE CONFIRMING INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given confirming the intention of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Horowhenua to take the land described in the Schedule hereto. The lands are required for the purpose of a public work, namely, for the purpose of clearing the land of noxious weeds.

SCHEDULE

25 acres 2 roods 34 perches of land adjoining Kahukura No. 1, Pukerarauhi No. 1, Katihiku 1B, Ngakaroro 3F 1, and parts Ngakaroro 3F and 5E, the said land being situate in Block VIII of the Waitohu Survey District and in the County of Horowhenua and being delineated on the plan lodged with the Chief Surveyor at Wellington under No. S.O. 24591 and coloured red thereon.
