AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred and thirty-four thousand pounds (£334,000), to be known as the Waterworks Reservoirs Loan 1960, £334,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of erecting reservoirs at Manurewa, Mount Roskill, and Waikomete, and a services gantry on the Auckland Harbour Bridge, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-ninths of a penny (7/9 of 1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 7th day of February 1961.

PAPATOETOE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Papatoetoe Borough Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on a loan of fourteen thousand pounds (£14,000) authorised to be raised by the Papatoetoe Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of financing the cost of purchasing land and buildings, and improving existing house, the said Papatoetoe Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought eight four pence (0·084d.) in the pound on the rateable property of all rateable property in the Borough of Papatoetoe; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan repayable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until such loan is fully paid off, and that the interest and principal due for repayment of such loan be paid out of general account.”

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Porirua Community Hall Loan 1960, £30,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000, authorised to be raised by the Makara County Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of erecting a Community Hall at Porirua, the said Makara County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·29d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County Towns of Porirua, Takapuwahia, and Titahi Bay; and that the special rate shall be an annualrecurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Council of the County of Makara held at Porirua on the 15th day of February 1961.

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Streets Improvements Loan 1960, £75,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £75,000 authorised to be raised by the Makara County Council under the abovementioned Act for the purposes of upgrading streets within the County Towns of Porirua, Takapuwahia, and Titahi Bay, the said Makara County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·725d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County Towns of Porirua, Takapuwahia, and Titahi Bay; and that the special rate shall be an annualrecurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Bridges Loan 1960, £3,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Makara County Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of replacing bridges, the said Makara County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·134d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Makara, Ohariu, and Belmont Ridings of the County of Makara; and that the special rate shall be an annualrecurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Sewerage and Water Reticulation Redemption Loan 1960, £9,300
At a special meeting of the Tawa Borough Council, held on 21 December 1960, it was resolved:
“That the Tawa Borough Council hereby appropriates and pledges a special rate, in respect of the Sewerage and Water Reticulation Redemption Loan 1960, of £9,300, of 0·1503d. in the pound (£) on the basis of the unimproved value of the whole of the rateable property in the Borough of Tawa.”

BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Street Improvement Loan (1960) £9,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £9,000 authorised to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of improving Poole Street, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of seven sixty-fourths of a penny (7/64d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Motueka, comprising the whole of the Borough of Motueka; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
