SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
COMMENCING at a point on the Tirau-Napier State Highway in line with the southern boundary of the Opepe Block No. 1546A (C.T. 46/86) and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 5 miles 78 chains, passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, etc., viz, Opepe Block No. 1546A (C.T. 46/86), part Tauhara Middle 4A 2 Block (C.T. 9/71) in Blocks VII, VIII, and XII, Tauhara Survey District, and terminating at a point on the north-western boundary of the said part Tauhara Middle 4A 2 Block, 102Β·8 links distant from the northern side of the Tirau-Napier State Highway in Block VII, Tauhara Survey District, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses, all in the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2059 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 15th day of February 1961.

Defining the Middle Line of the Te Maunga - Mount Maunganui Motorway in Blocks VII and XI, Tauranga Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the Te Maunga - Mount Maunganui Motorway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only the lands situated within the limits of the area shown coloured red on the plan marked M.O.W. 2009 referred to in the said Schedule.

COMMENCING at a point on the East Coast Main Trunk Railway approximately 5 chains south-west of the easternmost corner of part Wharawhara No. 2 Block and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 2Β½ miles and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, etc., viz, part Wharawhara No. 2 Block (C.T. 351/195); part Section 5, Block XI, Tauranga Survey District (C.T. 677/265); part land on D.P. 26202 (C.T. 1468/83); Section 4, Block XI, Tauranga Survey District (C.T. 493/79); Section 9, Block XI, Tauranga Survey District (C.T. 799/102); part Omanu No. 1 Block (C.T. 696/299); Section 17, Block VII, Tauranga Survey District (C.T. 946/270); Whareroa 2B Block (C.T. 359/281); Lot 1, D.P. S. 793 (C.T. 1015/284); part Whareroa 2J 2 Block (C.T. 135/291); Whareroa 2J 3 Block (C.T. 135/291); Lot 121, D.P. 18318 (C.T. 366/238); and terminating at a point approximately 10 chains north-east of the north-western corner of the aforesaid Whareroa 2J 3 Block, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses. As the same is delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 2009 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 20th day of February 1961
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

On and from the 1st day of April 1961, the area described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Tuapeka and included in the Borough of Tapanui.

On and from the date aforesaid, the area described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the Borough of Tapanui and included in the County of Tuapeka.

The alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area in Tapanui Riding of the Tuapeka County containing 180 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 44, Block XIII, Glenkenich Survey District, and proceeding northerly along the western boundary of that section and its production to a line parallel to and distant 250 links northward from the northern side of the Tapanui Railway Station Road; thence south-easterly along that line to the northernmost corner of Lot 23, D.P. 268; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, and 6, D.P. 268, to a line parallel to and distant 250 links westward from the western side of Kent Street; thence northerly along that line to a line parallel to and distant 250 links northward from the northern side of Sussex Street; thence easterly along that line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1, Block I, D.P. 269; thence easterly along a right line to the north-western corner of Lot 2, Block II, D.P. 269; thence easterly along the northern boundary of that lot and its production to the north-western side of Cameron Road; thence north-easterly along a right line to the intersection of the south-eastern side of Cameron Road with a line parallel to and distant 250 links northward from the northern side of Cemetery Road; thence easterly along that line to a point in line with the production of the eastern boundary of part Lot 14, D.P. 2034; thence southerly to and along the eastern boundary of that lot, and the eastern boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 2034, and the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the eastern boundary of part Section 39, Block IV, Glenkenich Survey District; thence southerly along that eastern boundary to a line parallel to and distant 250 links southward from the southern side of Boundary Street; thence westerly along that line to the eastern side of Surrey Street; thence north-westerly along a right line to the intersection of the western side of Surrey Street with a line parallel to and distant 250 links southward from the southern side of Boundary Street; thence westerly along that line to a point in line with the production of the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block XXII, Town of Tapanui; thence northerly along a right line to the southern side of Boundary Street, being the boundary of the Borough of Tapanui as described in Gazette, 1882, page 133; thence easterly along the southern side of Boundary Street and its production to the eastern side of Surrey Street; thence northerly along the eastern side of that street to the northernmost corner of Lot 4, D.P. 1506; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 4, 1, and 2, D.P. 1506, and closed road, Block XIII, Glenkenich Survey District, to the south-eastern side of Fluming Street; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of that street to a point in line with the production of the eastern boundary of Block X, Town of Tapanui; thence northerly to and along that eastern boundary and its production to the eastern boundary of Block VII, Town of Tapanui; thence northerly along that eastern boundary and westerly along the northern boundary of Block VII aforesaid and the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the south-eastern corner of Lot 1, Block I, D.P. 269; thence westerly along the northern side of Sussex Street to the western side of Kent Street; thence southerly along that western side of that street to the south-eastern corner of Lot 6, D.P. 7444; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that lot and the south-eastern boundary of Section 67, Block XIII, Glenkenich Survey District, to the easternmost corner of part Section 25, Block XIII aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of part Section 25 aforesaid to a line parallel to and distant 250 links south-eastward from the south-eastern side of an unnamed road; thence south-westerly along that line to the north-eastern boundary of Section 27, Block XIII aforesaid; thence north-westerly along that north-eastern boundary and its production to the south-eastern boundary of Section 44, Block XIII aforesaid; thence south-westerly along that south-eastern boundary to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Tapanui Borough containing 8 acres 2 roods 25 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 2, Block XXII, Town of Tapanui, and proceeding southerly along the eastern boundary of that section and its production to the southern side of Boundary Street; thence westerly along the southern side of that street and its production to the south-eastern boundary of Section 28, Block XIII, Glenkenich Survey District; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that section and the north-western boundaries of Sections 1 and 2, Block XXII, Town of Tapanui, to the point of commencement.
