Land at Taihape Taken for Railway Purposes

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Government Railways Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land, situated in the Borough of Taihape, containing 1 rood 21·48 perches, being Lots 34 and 35 of Suburban Section 23, Township of Taihape, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 322, folio 234, Wellington Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 12th day of February 1960.

THE proceedings in connection with the annual meeting of the Great Barrier Island County Council, held on the 31st day of December 1959, shall be valid to all intents and purposes as if that meeting had been held within the period provided by section 77 of the Counties Act 1956 and those proceedings shall not be called in question by reason only of the aforesaid irregularity.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

1. (1) This order may be cited as the Aria Rabbit District Order 1960.
   (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
2. The boundaries of the Aria Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 31st day of August 1949,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
