Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 3rd day of October 1960.

All that piece of land containing 1 rood 37 perches situated in Wakari Survey District, City of Dunedin, being Lot 54 on the plan marked P.W.D. 159716 (H.D.C. 31257) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington. Part Proclamation 6905, Otago Land Registry.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work to be Crown Land, Subject to Fencing Agreements

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948 as from the 12th day of December 1960, subject to the agreements as to fencing contained in transfers 373712 and S. 181357, Auckland Land Registry.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in the City of Invercargill for State Housing Purposes

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for State housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Chief Post Office, Invercargill, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said land set forth the same in writing and send the writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Scheme of Control of Bay of Islands College

Pursuant to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby approves of Bay of Islands College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools published in the Gazette of 6 December 1928, Volume III, page 3451:

Provided that:

(a) Clause 7 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words "by the Council of the nearest borough within five miles of the school every such member shall be appointed by a resolution of such Council" were omitted, and the words "jointly by the Bay of Islands County Council and the Kawakawa Town Council, the member shall be appointed by a resolution by each of the Councils" were substituted therefor; also as if the word "Council" where it last appears in that clause were omitted, and the word "Councils" were substituted therefore:

(b) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if clause 9 were revoked:

(c) Clause 11 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words "Such election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1929" were omitted, and the words "The first such election shall be held not later than the first week in the month of May in the year 1961, and such an election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1963" were substituted therefor:

(d) Clause 16 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words "an Education Board or Borough Council shall himself be a member of such body" were omitted, and the words "the Auckland Education Board or jointly by the Bay of Islands County Council and the Kawakawa Town Council, shall himself be a member of that Board or of one of those local bodies" were substituted therefor:

(e) Clause 19 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if every reference to the year 1929 were a reference to the year 1963:

(f) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if clause 43 were revoked, and the clause numbered 43 set out in the Schedule hereto were substituted therefor.
