Authorising the Laying Off of a Street off an Extension of Myrtle Grove in the Borough of Putaruru, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Putaruru Borough Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than 45 ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 8 to 23, inclusive, of a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan marked M.O.W. 910 referred to in the Schedule hereto and fronting the proposed street within a distance of 33 ft from the centre line of the proposed street.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

THAT proposed street containing by admeasurement 1 rood 37·7 perches, more or less, situated in the Borough of Putaruru, being part Lot 55, D.P. 17362, being part Section 15, Selwyn Settlement; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 910 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Taking of Land for Public Purpose at Rarotonga, Cook Islands

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 357 of the Cook Islands Act 1915, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby takes the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the following public purpose, namely, for the purpose of education.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing approximately a total area of 2 acres 3 roods 3 perches, more or less, situate in the District of Takitumu in the Island of Rarotonga, Cook Islands, being:

Firstly: All that parcel of land containing 1 acre more or less, being part Section 49A, Te Muriavai; as the same is more particularly delineated and coloured blue on plan No. 74, signed by the Resident Commissioner of the Cook Islands, and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the High Court at Rarotonga.

Secondly: All that parcel of land containing 2 roods 37 perches, more or less, being part Section 49B, Tutukiara; as the same is more particularly delineated and coloured yellow on the plan hereinbefore mentioned:

Thirdly: All that parcel of land containing 1 acre and 6 perches more or less, being part Section 49C 2, Kaengavai; as the same is more particularly delineated and coloured sepia on the said plan hereinbefore mentioned:

Reserving nevertheless in favour of the owners of the lands firstly, secondly, and thirdly hereinbefore described a right of way 6·06 links wide, beginning from the southernmost boundary adjoining the main road, and extending along the eastern and northern boundaries of the land thirdly hereinbefore described, continuing along the northern boundary of the land secondly hereinbefore described, and extending for a distance of 6·06 links along the northern boundary of the land firstly hereinbefore described; as the same is more particularly delineated and coloured red on the said plan hereinbefore mentioned.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a marae, meeting place, papakainga, recreation ground, sports ground, and place of historical interest, for the common use or benefit of the members of the Ngati Raukawa, Ngati Rereahu, Ngati Maniapoto, Ngati Matakore, Ngati Paretapoto, Ngati Ururumia, and Ngati Ngutu tribes and sub-tribes or of any other tribe or sub-tribe allied with or being offshoots of any of the above.
