PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment
to Whatoro Farms Ltd., a duly incorporated company having
its registered office at Dargaville, by Howell St. Clair Williams,
of Whatoro, farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges
under an Order in Council dated the 16th day of April 1957,
and published in the Gazette on the 2nd day of May 1957
at page 759, authorising him to use water for the purpose
of generating electricity and to erect certain electric lines.

to Elmer Charles McNabb, of Karamea, dairy factory assistant, of the rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in
Council dated the 16th day of February 1954, and published
in the Gazette on the 25th day of the same month at page
285, authorising Walter Henry Rogers, of Market Cross,
Karamea, county foreman, to erect and use certain electric
lines in the County of Buller, as amended by the Order in
Council dated the 11th day of October 1955, and published
in the Gazette on the 13th day of the same month at page
1623.

THE HON. C. F. SKINNER, M.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Auckland
Electric Power Board Act 1921-22, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
LICENCE
-
This order may be cited as the Auckland Electric Power
Board Electric Lines Licence 1960. -
Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Auckland
Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the
licensee) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place,
and use the electric lines, and to construct the electric works
described in the First Schedule hereto.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence. -
The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by
the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence; provided that the licensee shall not by virtue of this clause be required, except in the normal course of alteration, repair,
or maintenance, to reconstruct in conformity with the regulations hereinbefore mentioned any existing electric line or work which conformed to the regulations in force at the time of the construction thereof, and has not become a hazardous line as described in the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. -
(i) The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (h), (i), and (j)
of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
(ii) The system of supply authorised under the said paragraph (j) shall be a two-wire direct-current system at a pressure normally rated at 550 volts with neither pole earthed for supply in connection with the trackless trolley omnibus system of the Auckland Transport Board. -
Seaward from high-water mark at ordinary spring tide,
the minimum horizontal distance separating the submarine cable to Pakihi Island described in the First Schedule hereto from the existing private submarine telephone cable of Messrs McCallum Brothers shall be 200 ft. -
This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined,
continue in force until the 14th day of July 1966. -
The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule hereto authorising the licensee to erect and use electric lines and to construct electric works are hereby revoked.

ELECTRIC LINES AND WORKS
- Electric lines and works for the transmission and supply
of electrical energy within the Auckland Electric Power District as defined in section 3 of the Auckland Electric Power Board Act 1921-22, and in the Proclamations referred to hereunder:

A submarine cable for the transmission of electrical energy leading from the shores of the Hauraki Gulf at a point being the northernmost extremity of part Waitawa Block, Block V, Wairoa Survey District, and proceeding thence in a right line across part of the said gulf to a point in Block XV, Wairoa Survey District, being the southernmost extremity of Pakihi Island, the said cable being more particularly shown by means of a broken red line on the plan marked S.H.D. 55 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Electric lines for the transmission and supply of electrical energy on and about Pakihi Island, situated in Blocks XV and XVI, Wairoa Survey District, in the Hauraki Gulf.

A submarine cable for the transmission of electrical energy leading from the shores of the Hauraki Gulf at a point between Omano Beach and Maraetai Beach in the County of Manukau, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction across part of the said gulf to a point on the shore at Kaikuku Bay on the southern coast of Waiheke Island, the said cable being more particularly shown by means of a red line on the plan marked S.H.D. 277 deposited as aforesaid.

Electric lines for the transmission and supply of electrical energy on and about Waiheke Island situated in the Hauraki Gulf.

Electric lines for the transmission and supply of electrical energy leading from the boundary of the Auckland Electric Power District in a generally southerly direction to a house and woolshed situated near the intersection of Ardmore Quarry Road, Creighton's Road and Welsh's Road in Section 177, Block I, Opaheke Survey District in the Manukau County, the said electric lines being shown by means of red lines and green lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 482 deposited as aforesaid.
