Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Kaikoura County Council (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
2. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY
3. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (j) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The system of supply authorised under paragraph (j) shall be a single-conductor earth-return system and the use thereof shall be subject to the terms and conditions laid down by the General Manager of the New Zealand Electricity Department.
DURATION OF LICENCE
4. Unless sooner determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 4th day of July 1963.
SCHEDULE
AREA OF SUPPLY
Lines for the supply of electrical energy by the systems of supply hereinbefore described within that area in the Marlborough Land District, Kaikoura County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on mean high-water mark of the sea at the middle line of the Hapuku River in Block V, Mount Fyffe Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly along the mean high-water mark of the sea to the middle of the mouth of the Ohau Stream in Block XV, Puhipuhi Survey District; thence proceeding northerly generally along the middle line of the said Ohau Stream to its intersection with the north-western boundary of part Section 4A of 2 Mangamaunu Maori Block in Block XV aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of part Sections 4A of 2, 3A of 2, 3B of 2, and 3c 2 of 2 Mangamaunu Maori Block, to the south-eastern corner of Section 32, Block XIII, Puhipuhi Survey District; thence north-westerly and northerly along the south-western and western boundaries of the said Section 32 and the western boundary of Section 31, Block XIII aforesaid, to the north-eastern boundary of S.G.R. 106; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern boundary of S.G.R. 106 and its production to the north-eastern boundary of S.G.R. 105B in Block VIII, Kaitarau Survey District; thence continuing north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the said S.G.R. 105B to Triangulation Station R (George Spur), Block VII, Kaitarau Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of S.G.R. 105B, S.G.R. 105A, part S.G.R. 104, part S.G.R. 103, and S.G.R. 102B to Triangulation Station Manakau (Kaitarau) at the westernmost corner of S.G.R. 102B in Block XIV, Kaitarau Survey District; thence southerly and south-easterly along the western and south-western boundaries of the said S.G.R. 102B and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of a tributary of the Hapuku River in Block I, Mount Fyffe Survey District; thence easterly, northerly, and easterly along the middle line of the said tributary to its intersection with the middle line of the Hapuku River in Block I aforesaid; thence generally south-easterly along the middle line of the Hapuku River to the point of commencement.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 548 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Brendan Gibbons, of Whataroa, Parish Priest (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

4. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1981 or until electrical energy is available from an electric power board or some other public source of supply, whichever is the earlier.
SCHEDULE
Lines for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee's generator and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction across the Jackson Bay-Haast Main Highway to a church; all being situated in Reserve 1984, Block X, Okuru Survey District, in the County of Westland; the said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 547 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to John Chapman Jack, of Kingston, farmer, by Alan Edwin Lucas, of Kingston, farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 18th day of May 1959, and published in the Gazette on the 28th day of the same month at page 690, authorising him to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.
