A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL that piece of road containing 17 acres 1 rood 30 perches situated in Takitimu Survey District, Southland R.D., and adjoining part Section 59 and part Section 125, Block II, and passing through part Lot 2, D.P. 2244, being part Section 21 Block VIII; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 799 (S.O. 6685) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

PURSUANT to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, and comprised in a roadway laid out by the Maori Land Court by an order dated the 3rd day of March 1949, to be road.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 19 of the Housing Improvement Act 1945, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim the area defined in the Schedule hereto to be a reclamation area under Part II of the said Act.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land situated in the City of Christchurch bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south side of Conference Street, such point being the north-west corner of certificate of title, Volume 368, folio 176; proceeding thence in an easterly direction along the south side of Conference Street to the north-east corner of certificate of title, Volume 194, folio 8; proceeding thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundaries of certificates of title, Volume 194, folio 8, and Volume 368, folio 181, to and across Airedale Place by a right line to a point on the south side of Airedale Place, such point being on the northern boundary of certificate of title, Volume 32, folio 6; proceeding thence in an easterly and southerly direction along the southern and western sides of Airedale Place to the south-east corner of certificate of title, Volume 32, folio 6, such point being the western corner of Airedale Place and Salisbury Street; proceeding thence in a westerly direction along the northern side of Salisbury Street to the south-west corner of certificate of title, Volume 179, folio 184; proceeding thence in a northerly, westerly, and northerly direction along the western boundary of certificate of title, Volume 179, folio 184, and the southern and western boundaries of certificate of title, Volume 368, folio 176, to the point of commencement; as the said area is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 160812 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

SECTION 2, Block IX, Section 1, Block X, Section 1, Block XI and Section 1, Block XII, Kaingaroa Survey District, and Section 32, Block IX, Galatea Survey District (all formerly closed road, Proclamation S. 128263): Area, 83 acres and 25·2 perches, more or less.
Also Section 3, Block XVI, Kaingaroa Survey District (formerly closed road, Proclamation S. 113499): Area, 1 acre 3 roods 18·5 perches, more or less. Shown on plans No. 47/72 and 47/73 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. (S.O. Plans 38146 and 37648.)

THE HON. C. F. SKINNER, M.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 23rd day of April 1940, and published in the Gazette on the 2nd day of May 1940 at page 979, authorising Edward Johnson Orry Hope, John Roland Skimmerdale Hope, Edgar Selwyn Hope, and Harold Barker Shepherd Hope, trading in partnership under the firm name of Hope Bros., of French Pass, sheep farmers, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been assigned to Wallace Elmslie Webber, of French Pass, sheep farmer.
