The West Otago Rabbit District Order 1960 (Notice No. Ag. 7054)

COBHAM, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington this 27th day of July 1960 Present: HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the West Otago Rabbit District Order 1960. (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. 2. The boundaries of the West Otago Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 11th day of July 1956,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE BOUNDARIES OF THE WEST OTAGO RABBIT DISTRICT ALL that area in the Otago Land District and Tuapeka and Clutha Counties, containing 262,500 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the left bank of the Waipahi River and the right bank of the Pomahaka River and proceeding generally northerly along the right bank of the Pomahaka River to the south-eastern corner of Block III, Glenkenich Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Block III aforesaid and Blocks II and I, Glenkenich Survey District, to the south-western corner of Block I aforesaid, being a point on the boundary of the Southland County as described in Gazette, 1958, page 1264; thence generally northerly along that boundary to the most westerly corner of Run 608 in Block II, Wart Hill Survey District; thence generally north-easterly and easterly along the north-western and northern boundaries of Run 608 aforesaid and the northern boundary of a river bank reserve and its production to the middle of the Pomahaka River; thence generally southerly along the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Run 696; Wart Hill Survey District; thence generally south-easterly to and along the south-western boundary of Run 696 and the south-western boundary of Run 698 and its production to the eastern side of the Heriot-Roxburgh via Moa Flat road; thence generally southerly along the eastern side of that road to its junction with the northern side of the Moa Flat School Road; thence generally easterly and south-easterly along the northern and north-eastern sides of the Moa Flat School Road to the north-western corner of Lot 9, D.P. 1924; thence generally easterly along the northern boundaries of Lots 9 and 8, D.P. 1924, and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that Lot 8 to its south-eastern corner; thence generally southerly, southerly, and westerly along the north-eastern, eastern, and southern side of the road forming the south-western boundaries of Lot 6, D.P. 1864, and Sections 9 and 10, Block XVII, Crookston Survey District, the western boundary of Sections 11 and 12 and the northern boundary of Section 13, Block XVII, Crookston Survey District, to the north-western corner of that Section 13; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Section 14, Block XVII, Crookston Survey District, and of Block XIII, Crookston Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 11, Block XVI, Crookston Survey District; thence easterly, southerly, and generally westerly along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of that Section 11 to the eastern boundary of Block XIV, Crookston Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that Block XIV to Trig. Station L; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of Run 708 for a distance of 4 chains to the western side of an unsurveyed road passing through Run 708 aforesaid; thence generally north-easterly along that side of that road to the eastern boundary of Block XIX, Crookston Survey District; thence southerly along that boundary and westerly along the southern boundary of that Block XIX for a distance of 1 mile; thence south-westerly along a straight line to Trig. Station U and along a straight line to the south-eastern corner of Block X, Crookston Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Block X to the north-eastern corner of Block IX, Rankleburn Survey District; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Block IX to the north-eastern corner of Block X, Rankleburn Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that Block X, Rankleburn Survey District, to the middle of the Rankleburn; thence generally southerly along the middle of the Rankleburn and its production to the right bank of the Pomahaka River; thence generally south-westerly along the right bank of that river to its junction with the right bank of the Waipahi River; thence north-westerly by a right line to the point of commencement.

The Strath Taieri Rabbit District Order 1960 (Notice No. Ag. 7057)

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Strath Taieri Rabbit District Order 1960. (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. 2. The boundaries of the Strath Taieri Rabbit District, which was substituted by Order in Council on the 10th day of August 1949,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE BOUNDARIES OF THE STRATH TAIERI RABBIT DISTRICT ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Counties of Taieri and Maniototo, containing 220,000 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Run 205E, Rock and Pillar Survey District; thence generally south-easterly, south-westerly, and again south-easterly along the north-eastern, south-eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of Run 205E and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally southerly and south-easterly along the middle of the Taieri River to a point in line with the middle of Deep Stream; thence generally westerly, south-westerly, and north-westerly to and along the middle of Deep Stream to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Run 260 approximately 68 chains east of Trig. H, Hedgehope Survey District; thence generally north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Run 260 aforesaid and its production to the middle of the Taieri River; thence generally north-easterly along the middle of the Taieri River to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Run 254c; thence generally southerly to and along that boundary and generally north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Runs 254c and 254B to the westernmost corner of Run 599; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Run 599 to Dunstan Road and along a right line to the north-western corner of Run 598; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Runs 598, 597, 596, 213D, 213A, and 205E to the point of commencement.

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Te Puke Rabbit District Order 1960. (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. 2. The boundaries of the Te Puke Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 16th day of June 1952,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE BOUNDARIES OF THE TE PUKE RABBIT DISTRICT ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, County of Tauranga, and Boroughs of Mount Maunganui and Te Puke, containing 102,425 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at Tokatapu on the eastern shores of the entrance to the Tauranga Harbour in Block VI, Tauranga Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly generally along
