PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to Harold Arthur Read and Doris Jean Read, both of Kokopu, farmers, by Albert Edmond Walker, of Kokopu, farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council, dated the 18th day of June 1958 and published in the Gazette on the 19th day of the same month at page 801, authorising him to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.

Authorising H. O. Drake Ltd. to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the County of Opotiki

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises H. O. Drake Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Opotiki (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEM OF SUPPLY

  1. The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall be an alternating-current system.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1981.

SCHEDULE

LINES for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described, commencing from the licensee’s generator situated in Section 8 and proceeding as follows:

(a) In a south-easterly direction to buildings situated in Section 8.

(b) In a south-easterly direction to a pump house situated in Section 9.

(c) In a south-westerly direction to the licensee’s house and thence in a southerly direction to another house situated in Section 20.

(d) In a north-westerly direction to the licensee’s garage and a pole situated in Section 8 and thence:

(1) In a south-westerly direction to a building situated in Section 8.

(2) In a northerly direction to a house situated in Section 18A.

(3) In a north-westerly direction to a pole situated in Section 8 and thence:

    (i) In a south-westerly direction to baches situated in Sections 4 and 5.

    (ii) In a north-westerly direction to a bach situated in Section 8.

All being situated in Block No. 1: 1–13, Block V, Te Kaha Survey District in the County of Opotiki. The said lines and buildings being more particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 544 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Adding Land to the Arthur’s Pass National Park

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of the Arthur’s Pass National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Arthur’s Pass National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea at Fosters Bay, Manukau Harbour, 16 perches of land, more or less, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10784 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.
