that river diversion and westerly and southerly generally
up the middle of the Kaituna River to and up the middle of
the Mangorewa River to a point in line with the eastern
boundary of Section 8, Block IV, Rotorua Survey District;
thence northerly generally along a right line to and along
that eastern boundary and the generally northern boundary
of the said Section 8, to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Section 7, Block IV, aforesaid; thence
along a right line across a public road to and along that
north-eastern boundary and the generally northern boundary
of the said Section 7, to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Section 12, Block XVI, Otanewainuku
Survey District; thence along a right line across the Taumata-
paua Stream to and along the north-eastern and northern
boundaries of the said Section 12 crossing an intervening
public road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary
of Section 7; thence along a right line across the Te Rerenga
Stream to and along that north-eastern boundary and along
another right line being that boundary produced across a
public road to and along the generally eastern boundary of
Section 3, the aforesaid sections being of Block XVI, Otane-
wainuku Survey District, to and along the eastern boundaries
of Waoku 1, 1B, 1A, and 3 Blocks and the generally northern
boundary of Waoku 2A Block to and down the middle of the
Waimapu Stream and up the middle of the Kirikiri Stream to
the eastern side of Ohauiti Road in Block III, Otanewainuku
Survey District, thence still northerly generally along that road-
side to and along the generally north-western boundary of Lot
2, D.P. 18834, in Block XIV, Tauranga Survey District, and
along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced
to the middle of the Kaitimako Stream; thence down the
middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-
eastern boundary of Kaitimako F 1 Block; thence along a
right line to and along that south-eastern boundary and along
another right line, being the last-mentioned boundary produced
across a public road, to and along the eastern side of that
road and along the generally southern boundary of Kaitimako
H Block and along a right line being the last-mentioned
boundary produced to the generally western boundary of
Lot 5, L.T.S. 3010; thence along that boundary, along the
north-western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 5, and the gener-
ally western boundaries of Lot 3, L.T.S. 3010, and Section 6,
Block XV, Tauranga Survey District, to and along the
generally southern and western sides of Waitaka Road and
the southern side of the Paeroa-Whakatane State Highway
to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P.
18064; thence along a right line across that State Highway
to and along the aforesaid western boundary to and along
the generally eastern shores of the Tauranga Harbour to the
point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the powers and authorities conferred upon him
by section 43 of the State Advances Corporation Act 1936,
His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of New Zealand, hereby appoints:
Hugh Beattie, Esquire, of Auckland, public accountant; and
Duncan Cox, Esquire, of Auckland, public accountant, to
be the auditors of the State Advances Corporation of
New Zealand, to hold office for a term of two years
commencing on the 1st day of July 1960.

the Orders in Council dated 22 October 1941 and 29 October
1941, and published in the Gazette of 1941 at pages 3278 and
3345 respectively.

Exempting Land in the Westland Land District from the
Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925 and
Declaring it to be Crown Land
COBHAM, Governor-General
PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the
Governor-General hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE
- The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines
Act 1925. - The said land is hereby declared to be Crown land sub-
ject to the Land Act 1948.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood, more or less, situ-
ated in Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, Westland R.D.,
being Lot 223 of Section 3 and being part of the land in
certificate of title, Volume 28, folio 93, Westland Registry,
excepting all veins, beds, and seams of coal, fireclay, and
other minerals and metals and reserving always to Her
Majesty the Queen and all persons lawfully entitled to work
the said coal, minerals, and metals a right of ingress, egress,
and regress under the said land.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
this 25th day of July 1960.
