BOROUGH OF PICTON

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Picton-Waikawa Main Highway Reconstruction and Sealing Loan 1960, £15,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Council of the Borough of Picton doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) authorised to be raised by the Picton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing the Picton-Waikawa Main Highway, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one pence one halfpenny (1½d.) in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Picton which shall be appropriated as security for the purpose of the payment of interest and principal of the said loan; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above-mentioned resolution was passed at a meeting of the Picton Borough Council held on the 19th day of May 1960.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Loan 1960, £50,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing pumping stations and mains, the Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four hundred and seventy-four/fifteen thousand six hundred and twenty-fifths of a penny (474/15,625d.) in the pound (£·0001264) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the 20th day of July 1960, passed the above resolution.

WAIROA BOROUGH COUNCIL

SPECIAL ORDER

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a special meeting of the Wairoa Borough Council, convened for the purpose and held on 18 July 1960, the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation as a special order at a meeting of the said Council to be held on 15 August 1960.

RESOLUTION

THAT, pursuant to section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1959, the Council hereby consolidates the special rates on loans as set out hereunder:

Housing Renewal Loan 1947, £6,900; decimal three of a penny (·3d.).
Earthquake Repairs Loan No. 2 and Traffic Bridge Loan 1931, £5,000; decimal one two of a penny (·12d.).
Water Reticulation Renewal Loan 1945, £10,300; decimal six of a penny (·6d.).
Sewerage Loan 1947, £71,400; two decimal eight pence (2·8d.).
Sewerage Additional Loan 1952, £25,000; one decimal two five pence (1·25d.).
Water Reticulation Extension Loan 1951, £16,600; decimal eight of a penny (·8d.).
Sewerage Supplementary Loan 1954, £2,500; decimal one three of a penny (·13d.).

Housing Loan 1954, £6,000; decimal three of a penny (·3d.).
Housing Loan 1955, £7,000; decimal three five of a penny (·35d.).
Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1958, £5,500; decimal two seven of a penny (·27d.).

A copy of the said resolution has been deposited at the Municipal offices and is open for inspection during office hours.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments and the Counties Act 1956 and amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain work, namely, the construction and formation of a public road passing through or adjoining the several parcels of land referred to in the Schedule hereunder and situated in the Waitakere Riding of the County of Waitemata, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situated in the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

OHAKUNE BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Ohakune Borough Council proposes to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of a metal-pit, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Ohakune Borough Council, Miro Street, Ohakune, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Ohakune Borough Council at its offices in Miro Street, Ohakune.
