NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CEASE TO HAVE A PLACE OF BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND
—
The Australian and Eastern Engineering Co. Ltd., a company incorporated in Victoria and having its registered office at 25–27 Moray Street, South Melbourne, Victoria, in the Commonwealth of Australia, hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 405 (2) of the Companies Act 1955, that it intends to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand after the 31st day of October 1960.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £16,000 authorised to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing further staff houses by way of purchase of existing house property or construction of new buildings including the purchase of building sections and other matters incidental thereto, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal 1283 pence in the pound on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Rodney; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rodney County Council held on the 21st day of July 1960.

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Dwelling Loan 1959 of £3,000
“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane Borough Council, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Whakatane Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting or purchasing a dwelling within the Borough of Whakatane, hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·06d. (six one-hundredths of a penny) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the Borough of Whakatane; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above-mentioned resolution was passed by the Whakatane Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 22nd day of June 1959.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waterworks Redemption Loan 1960 of £4,700
Notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the above Council held on the 18th day of July 1960 the following resolution was passed.
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual loan charges on a loan of four thousand seven hundred pounds (£4,700) authorised to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity a portion of an issue of £10,000 of the Waterworks Improvement Loan 1939 of £30,000, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Te Kuiti, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Improvement Loan 1960 of £14,000
Notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the above Council held on the 18th day of July 1960 the following resolution was passed.
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fourteen thousand pounds (£14,000) authorised to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconditioning and tar-sealing various streets and constructing concrete kerbing and channelling in various streets within the Borough, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Te Kuiti, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £71,400 authorised to be raised by the Gisborne City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the redeeming at maturity the balance owing on the Sewer and Other Miscellaneous Works Loan 1940 of £151,800, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes a special rate of four hundred and eighty-nine one-thousandths of a penny (·489d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Gisborne, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Gisborne City Council at an ordinary meeting held on the 12th day of July 1960.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Feilding Borough Council held on the 14th day of July 1960.
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,800 authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting a house thereon, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought three eight of a penny (·038d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Feilding; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
