Validating Proceedings in Connection With the Wairarapa Electric Power Board's Loan of £2,400

At the Government House at Wellington this 13th day of January 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Wairarapa Electric Power Board is proceeding by way of special order to raise a loan of £2,400 to be known as the Staff Housing Loan 1959:
And whereas the special order made by the said Board to raise the said loan was irregular or defective in that there was an interval of less than 14 days between the two notifications required by paragraph (c) of subsection (1) of section 45 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 as amended by section 3 of the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1958:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the district have not been misled by such irregularity or defect as aforesaid and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 130 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the proceedings in connection with the raising of the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though an interval of not less than 14 days had elapsed between the two notifications, and hereby further orders and declares that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the raising of the said loan or of the security for the said loan shall not be questioned on the ground of the irregularity or defect aforesaid.

Authorising the Nelson City Council to Erect and Use Electric Lines Within Parts of the Waimea County

At the Government House at Wellington this 20th day of January 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Nelson City Council (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1958, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY
- The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (b), (d), (e), (f), and (h) of regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 17th day of January 1965.

ELECTRIC LINES

Lines for the supply of electrical energy within the reclamation area in Nelson Haven shown coloured red on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 530 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.

An electric line commencing at the Nelson City boundary and proceeding in a south-easterly and easterly direction across Sections 18, 21, 26, and 28, Block I, Maungatapu Survey District, to the relay station and fire look-out on Fringed Hill as shown by means of a red line on plan N.Z.E.D. 531 deposited as aforesaid.

PURSUANT to section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the purchase by the Thames Valley Electric Power Board of the electric lines and reticulation of the Clark Electrical Co. Ltd. at Whitianga for the sum of £6,600.

Amending an Order in Council Authorising the Dunedin City Council to Erect and Maintain Electric Lines

At the Government House at Wellington this 20th day of January 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby further amends the Order in Council dated the 23rd day of April 1923 and published in the Gazette on the 3rd day of May 1923, authorising the Dunedin City Council to erect and maintain electric lines in portion of the Land District of Otago, as amended by the Orders in Council dated the 16th day of February 1954 and published in the Gazette on the 25th day of the same month at page 285, and dated the 18th day of January 1955 and published in the Gazette on the 27th day of the same month at page 63, by adding to clause 1 of the Schedule thereto the following words: “together with the Otago Harbour as bounded to the east by a right line between Heyward Point and Taiaroa Head, the islands in the said harbour, and all the land reclaimed or to be reclaimed adjacent to the said harbour and lying between it and the area of supply as defined by the Waipori Falls Electrical Power Act 1904”.
