Notice of Intention to Take Additional Land in the City of Wanganui for Public Buildings of the General Government

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for public buildings of the General Government; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Wanganui and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing, and send the writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 22 perches, situated in the City of Wanganui, Wellington R.D., being part Section 149, Town of Wanganui, at the corner of Wicksteed Street and Cameron Terrace. Part certificate of title, Volume 502, folio 18, Wellington Land Registry (limited as to parcels); as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 220 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Control of Aranui High School and Burnside High School

PURSUANT to subsection (10) of section 7 of the Education Amendment Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the Minister of Education hereby places the Aranui High School and the Burnside High School under the Christchurch Post-primary Schools' Council.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Heavy Motor Vehicles Being Goods Service Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1956

PURSUANT to clause (4) of regulation 41 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulations red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Special Order Made by Raupo Drainage Board Creating New Subdivision and Adjusting Representation

PURSUANT to section 2 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act 1920, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Raupo Drainage Board.

SPECIAL ORDER

(1) In accordance with section 16 of the Land Drainage Act 1908 and amendments thereto, the Raupo Drainage Board hereby resolves, by way of special order, to create a separate subdivision within its district to be named the Ruawai Township Subdivision of the Raupo Drainage District, the boundaries of which subdivision are described in the Schedule hereto.

(2) In accordance with section 2 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act 1920, the Drainage Board shall consist of five trustees who shall be elected as follows:

(a) The electors of the Ruawai Township Subdivision shall elect one trustee.

(b) The electors of the area outside the Ruawai Township Subdivision, being known as the electors of the rural area, shall elect four trustees.

(3) The alteration hereby made in the number of trustees shall take effect on and after the 1st day of June 1960, and the trustees to be elected in the month of November 1962 shall be elected in accordance with the provisions of the special order.
