The Land and Income Tax Payment Order 1960

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 11th day of May 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Land and Income Tax Payment Order 1960.

  2. Expressions used in this order have the same meanings as in the Land and Income Tax Act 1954.

  3. This order applies to—
    (a) Land tax for the year of assessment which commenced on the 1st day of April 1960; and
    (b) Income tax payable for that year of assessment on income derived (or deemed to have been derived) during the income year which commenced on the 1st day of April 1959 by—
    (i) Every subsisting company otherwise than as trustee or agent:
    (ii) Every public authority otherwise than as trustee or agent:
    (iii) Every Maori authority.

  4. Land tax shall be due and payable in one sum on the 7th day of September 1960.

  5. Income tax to which this order applies shall be due and payable in one sum on the 7th day of February 1961.

  6. Land tax and income tax to which this order applies shall be payable at any office of the Taxes Division, Inland Revenue Department, or at any money-order post office.

Authorising the Investment of £14,400 of the Southland Harbour Board's Funds

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Southland Harbour Board to invest in the Invercargill City Council Development and Expansion Loan 1959, £200,000, out of its Tug Renewal Reserve Fund the sum of one thousand two hundred pounds (£1,200), and out of its Fire, Marine, Accident Insurance Reserve Fund the sum of thirteen thousand two hundred pounds (£13,200).

Members of the Local Government Commission Appointed

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby appoints Norman Harold Moss, O.B.E., of Stratford, to be the member of the Local Government Commission having special knowledge of urban local government; and Walter Alexander Lee, O.B.E., of Waitomo, to be the member of the said Commission having special knowledge of rural local government, and hereby declares that the term of office of the persons so appointed shall expire on the 31st day of March 1961.

Revoking Order in Council Prohibiting Alienation of Maori Land

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 254 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Acts Interpretation Act 1924, and every other power him enabling, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council made on the 25th day of October 1939 and published in the Gazette on the 2nd day of November 1939 at page 3009 and affecting Tauhei 7A 2A and other Blocks.

Authorising the Laying Off of a Street off Dempsey Street in the City of Auckland, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

At the Government House at Wellington this 18th day of May 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Auckland City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66ft, but not less than 40ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 161517 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 15 ft from the side line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

That proposed street in the City of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 11·5 perches, being Lots 1 to 7 (inclusive), L.T. Plan 47923; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 161517 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Hastings City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66ft, but not less than 40ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 160211 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 20 ft from the side line of the said street.

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT

That proposed street containing by admeasurement 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, situated in the City of Hastings, Hawke's Bay R.D., and being part Lot 130, D.O. 1202, part Heretaunga Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 160211 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
