A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Wellington City Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

PART of Lot 2, D.P. 1723, being part of Section 136 and 257, Block XXVII, Taringatura Survey District, containing 220 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the junction of Avondale Road and a public road forming the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 2, at National Grid Reference 139,593, grid square S. 22; proceeding thence northerly along Avondale Road for a distance of 6000 links; thence due west for a distance of 1410 links to the Aparima River; thence south-westerly generally along the left bank of the Aparima River to the northern side of the aforesaid public road forming the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 1723; thence north-easterly to and along the northern side of the said public road to the point of commencement. SECTIONS 32 and 32A and Crown land (old river bed), Block IX, Jacobs River Hundred, containing an area of 114 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-western corner of the said Section 32 at National Grid Reference 116,174, grid square S. 22; and proceeding thence easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 32 and that boundary produced across the old course of the Aparima River to its left bank; thence south-easterly generally along the left bank of the said old course to a point in line with the southern boundary of the said Section 32; thence westerly to and along the southern boundary of the said Section 32 to the eastern side of the Gropers Bush to Waimatuku Main Highway; thence north-westerly along the eastern side of the said main highway and the Thornbury to Gropers Road to the point of commencement. All of certificate of title, Volume 8, folio 64, and part of certificate of title, Volume 86, folio 146.

Amending Declaration of a Wildlife Refuge and Declaring Land, Southland Land District, Southland Acclimatisation District, to be Wildlife Refuges

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 9 May 1957, No. 37, page 798, notifying and declaring an area of land to be a wildlife refuge, and hereby proclaim and declare the areas described in the Schedules hereto to be wildlife refuges for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area containing 287 acres, more or less, being that strip of land within 10 chains of either side of McCallum Creek and passing through Sections 17, 18, and 26–31, Block IX, Oteramika Hundred.
As shown on plan marked I.A. 52/395 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged in red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
SECTIONS 29, 30, 31, and 32, Block II, Aparima Hundred:
Area, 253 acres 3 roods 12 perches, more or less.
All certificate of title, Volume 115, folio 81. The north-west corner of Section 32 is at National Grid Reference 065,383, grid square S. 22.
