Defining the Middle Line of a Deviation of Portion of the Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne State Highway in Blocks X and XIV, Tiffin Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a road desired to be constructed in Blocks X and XIV, Tiffin Survey District (viz, a deviation of portion of the Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne State Highway) shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits of the area bounded by red lines shown on the plans marked M.O.W. 181 and M.O.W. 182 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

COMMENCING at a point marked 11 miles 37 chains 70 links (Masterton-Wellington milage) on the Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne State Highway, and proceeding thence in a southerly direction generally for a distance of 60 chains 96 links, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, etc. - viz, part Taratahi 391B, situated in Block X, Tiffin Survey District (C.T. 115/181); Taratahi 391c 1B (C.T. 194/15); Taratahi 391c 1c (C.T. 842/52); parts Taratahi 391c 1d 2 (C.T. 194/15); part Taratahi 391c 1d 1, being a gravel pit (Gazette, 1956, page 780); part Taratahi 391c 1d 1 (C.T. 570/233); part of the Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne State Highway; Taratahi 391c 1A, being a reserve for burial ground (Gazette, 1943, page 1205); and parts Lot 1, D.P. 1100, being part Matia Block, situated in Blocks X and XIV, Tiffin Survey District (C.T. 108/138); and the Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne State Highway; and terminating at a point marked 12 miles 18 chains 66 links (Masterton-Wellington milage) on the Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne State Highway, including all adjoining or intervening places, lands, reserves, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; as the same is delineated on the plans marked M.O.W. 181 and M.O.W. 182 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

PURSUANT to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be road.

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block II, Takapau Survey District, Waipawa County, Hawke's Bay R.D., described as follows:

0 0 0.4 As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 84 (S.O. 3095) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 18.8 perches, situated in the City of Lower Hutt, Wellington R.D., being part Section 11, Hutt District, and part reclamation; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 116 (S.O. 24503) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 23rd day of May 1960.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of Crown land containing 1 rood 29 perches, situated in Block IX, Rangitoto Survey District, and Block II, Otahuhu Survey District, City of Auckland, Auckland R.D., and being Lot 8, D.P. 43684. Formerly part certificate of title, Volume 1328, folio 31, Auckland Registry.

ALL that piece of Crown land containing 1 rood 35.9 perches, situated in the Borough of Carterton, Wellington R.D., being Lot 1, Deeds Plan 414, being part Section 1, Township of Carterton. All Proclamation No. 459167 Wellington Registry.
