RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Fire Station Improvement Loan 1959 of £2,000
THAT, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Fire Station Improvement Loan 1959 of £2,000 authorised to be raised by the Cromwell Borough Council in pursuance of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the said Cromwell Borough Council hereby resolves that the special rate of one-half penny (½d.) in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of the rateable property in the Borough of Cromwell shall be appropriated and pledged as security for the annual repayment of interest and principal of the said loan; such rate to be annually recurring for the term of 20 years or until such time as the aforesaid loan is paid off.
Dated this 9th day of March 1960.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Works Loan 1960 of £150,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £150,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out street and ancillary works within the city, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·1734d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Development and Extension Loan 1959, £200,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Invercargill City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £200,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of development and expansion of waterworks, drainage, and street systems, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal three six eight pence in the pound (·368d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 26 April 1960.

NORTH AUCKLAND ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1960 of £100,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the North Auckland Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal and the payment of interest and other charges on the Board’s Reticulation Loan 1960 of £100,000 authorised to be raised by the North Auckland Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the North Auckland Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the North Auckland Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-quarter of one penny (¼d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the North Auckland Electric Power District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of May in each and every year, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”
Notice is hereby given that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the North Auckland Electric Power Board held on the 12th day of May 1960.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portion of land described in the Schedule hereto.
A plan showing the portion of land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barkes Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons affected by the taking of the land and having well grounded objections thereto are hereby called upon to set forth their objections in writing and send the same to the office of the Tauranga County Council on or before the 13th day of June 1960.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND TO CREATE DRAINAGE EASEMENT FOR RIVER WORKS

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Kaituna River Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for river works the land described in the first Schedule hereto and to take an easement creating full drainage rights over the land described in the Second Schedule.
A plan showing the land proposed to be taken and the land over which the easement is to be created is available for public inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barkes Corner, Tauranga, during forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons having well grounded objections to the above-mentioned proposals are hereby called on to set forth their objections in writing, and to lodge the same in the office of the Council on or before the 13th day of June 1960.
