At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of
April 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Otokia Rabbit
    District Order 1960.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.
  2. The boundaries of the Otokia Rabbit District, which
    was constituted by Order in Council on the 8th day of
    March 1955,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from
    the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said
    district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE OTOKIA RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Taieri County,
Borough of Green Island and City of Dunedin, containing
65,000 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing
at the mouth of the Taieri River; thence proceeding
generally north-westerly along the north-eastern bank
of the Taieri River to Henley; thence generally north-easterly
along the south-eastern bank of the Taieri River to a
point in line with the north-eastern boundary of River
Section 22, East Taieri Survey District; thence south-easterly
to and across the Main South Railway; thence generally
north-easterly along the south-eastern side of that railway
to Riccarton Road; thence south-easterly along the south-western
side of that road and its production to the southern
side of the Dunedin-Gore State Highway; thence generally
easterly along the southern side of that highway and its
production to the eastern side of the Mosgiel-Middlemarch-Dunback
Main Highway, also known as Junction Road;
thence northerly along the eastern side of that road to the
south-eastern boundary of Section 24, Irregular Block, East
Taieri Survey District; thence north-easterly and north-westerly
along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 24,
384R, and 25 and the north-eastern boundary of that Section
25, Irregular Block, to the Gladstone Main Highway; thence
generally north-easterly along the south-eastern side of that
highway, the crossing of a railway and again the south-eastern
side of that highway to a point in line with the north-eastern
side of the Otago Central Railway; thence north-westerly
to and along that side of that railway to the southernmost
corner of Section 10, Block V, East Taieri
Survey District; thence south-westerly across that railway
to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P.
9314, Block V, Closed Road, and Sections 7, 8, 16, 14, 10,
and 11, Block VI, to and across a road, along the south-eastern
boundary of Section 12, Block VI, to Gordon Road;
thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of that
road to the north-western side of Muirs Halfway Bush Road;
thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that
road to the southernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 6188;
thence north-westerly, south-westerly, and north-westerly
along the south-western, south-eastern, and again south-westerly
boundaries of that Lot 1 to its most westerly corner;
thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the south-eastern
and south-western boundaries of Section 78, Irregular
Block, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary
to the easternmost corner of Section 29, Block I, Dunedin
and East Taieri Survey District; thence north-westerly along
the north-eastern boundary of that section to its northernmost
corner; thence generally north-easterly along the southern
side of the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections
1 of 28, 2 of 28, 3 of 28, 26, 26A, and again 26, Block I
aforesaid, and the north-western and northerly boundaries
of the land shown on D.P.s 2495, 5057, and 2495 and
Sections 26, 27, 2 of 28, 1 of 28, 1136R, and 38, Block II,
Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and the western
boundaries of Sections 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block III, to the
northern boundary of the Dunedin and East Taieri Survey
District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of the
Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District to Trig. S, Swampy
Spur; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Section
3, Block V, to a road and along a right line across that
road to the easternmost corner of Section 11, Block V;
thence south-westerly along the eastern boundaries of that
Section 11 and Sections 10 and 9, Block V, to the southern-most
corner of Section 9 aforesaid; thence north-westerly
along the south-western boundary of that Section 9 to a
point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 55,
Block V; thence southerly to and along that boundary and
the eastern boundary of Section 54, Block V, to its southern-
most corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern
boundary of Section 53, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri
Survey District to its easternmost corner being on the
boundary of the City of Dunedin; thence generally south-westerly
along the boundary of the City of Dunedin as
described in Gazette, 1958, page 477, to the southernmost
corner of Lot 214, D.P. 6797, Ocean Beach Survey District;

thence south-easterly along the production of the south-western
boundary of Lot 214 aforesaid to its junction with
the north-western side of Corstorphine Road; thence south-easterly
by a right line across that road to and along the
north-eastern boundary of Section 78, Ocean Beach Survey
District to its south-eastern corner; thence north-easterly
along the south-eastern boundary of Section 101R, Ocean
Beach Survey District to a point in line with the north-eastern
boundary of Section 77, Ocean Beach Survey District;
thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and
its production to the north-western corner of Lot 28, D.P.
9158; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of
Isadore Road and its production to the mean high-water
mark of the ocean; thence generally south-westerly along
the mean high-water mark of the ocean to the point of
commencement.

The Kakahu Rural Fire District Order 1959, Amendment
No. 1

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of
April 1960
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the
following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Kakahu Rural Fire District
    Order 1959, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together
    with and deemed part of the order constituting the Kakahu
    Rural Fire District made on the 10th day of June 1959*
    (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).
  2. The principal order may hereafter be cited as the
    Kakahu Rural Fire District Order 1959.
  3. The principal order is hereby amended by omitting the
    word "September", and substituting the word "October".

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to
the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the
Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of
the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
