RAETIHI BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raetihi
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £7,500
authorised to be raised by the Raetihi Borough Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of sealing streets
within the Borough, the Raetihi Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of ninepence (9d.) in the
pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unim-
proved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of
Raetihi; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off; and further that the said rate is
hereby appropriated and pledged as security for the payment
of principal, interest, and other charges payable in respect of
the Raetihi Borough Council Roading Loan 1959, £7,500.”

BOROUGH OF MARTINBOROUGH


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Martinborough Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £1,800 authorised to be raised by the Martinborough
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the pur-
pose of purchasing a new fire engine, the said Martinborough
Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal
nought nought two seven four of a pound (·00274 of £1)
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Martin-
borough; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable
yearly on the 28th day of July in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of a
resolution passed at a special meeting of the Martinborough
Borough Council held on Thursday, 25 February 1960.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Plant Loan 1959, £22,500: First Portion of £11,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other
Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Council of the
Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
charges on a loan of £11,000, being the first portion of a loan
of £22,500 authorised to be raised under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of purchasing new plant and machinery,
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
four hundred and fifty-seven one-thousandths of a penny
(0·457d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved rateable
value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blen-
heim; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of eight (8)
years, or until the said loan is fully paid off; and the said
Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special
rate as security for the above loan.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the
24th day of February 1960.

Abattoir Improvement Loan 1959, £7,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other
Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Council of the
Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £7,500 authorised to be raised under the
above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing new chiller
facilities at the municipal abattoirs, the said Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of sixty-three one-thousandths
of a penny (0·063d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved
rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of
Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-
five (25) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off; and
the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said
special rate as security for the above loan.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the
24th day of February 1960.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other
Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Council of the
Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £35,000 authorised to be raised under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending water
reticulation within the Borough, the said Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and ninety-five
one-thousandths of a penny (0·295d.) in the pound (£) upon
the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within
the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty-five (25) years, or until the said loan is fully paid
off; and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge
the said special rate as security for the above loan.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the
24th day of February 1960.

TEVIOT ELECTRIC POWER BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Teviot Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges
on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) authorised to be
raised by the Teviot Electric Power Board for the purposes
of purchasing capital equipment, including transformers,
meter equipment, ripple relays, and service-line extensions, the
said Teviot Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate
of three hundred and two thousandths of a penny (302/
1000d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rate-
able property of the Teviot Electric Power District; and
that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on
the 1st day of March in each and every year during the
currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

Moved by Mr. R. J. George, seconded by Mr. T. A.
Michelle and carried.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution duly passed by the Teviot Electric Power Board
at a meeting held on 24 February 1960.
