TEMUKA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

EXTRACT from minutes of Temuka Borough Council monthly meeting held on Thursday, 11 February 1960:

Resolved that, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,378 authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of pensioners’ flats, the said Temuka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of six-tenths of one penny (0·6d.) in the pound (£) of rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Temuka; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above motion was passed unanimously.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct record of a motion passed at the monthly meeting of the Temuka Borough Council held on 11 February 1960.

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Kaikoura County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of seven thousand five hundred pounds (£7,500) authorised to be raised by the Kaikoura County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of installing a water-heating control system and purchasing a truck for maintenance, the Kaikoura County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eighty-two one thousandths (82/1000) of one penny (1d.) in the pound (£1) on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property in the Kaikoura County Council; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is given that the Mangonui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the realignment of a public road and highway, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the County Office, Commerce Street, Kaitaia, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Commerce Street, Kaitaia.

  3. All the land containing 2 roods 13·8 perches, more or less, being part Allotment 12, Taipa Parish, Block IV, Mangonui Survey District; and shown coloured sepia on S.O. Plan 41611, and being part of the land contained in C.T. 945/170 Ltd., Auckland Registry.

TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Taranaki County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the Oakura Water Supply.

A plan showing the land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Taranaki County Council, Robe Street, New Plymouth. Any person having any well grounded objection to the proposed taking should lodge their objections in writing within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice to the said office of the Taranaki County Council.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Acts amending the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Christchurch, a body corporate under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, for the purposes of an electrical substation: All those parcels of land, situated in Block XIV of the Christchurch Survey District, containing together 1 rood 25·8 perches, being Lots 12 and 13 on Deposit Plan 20126, and being parts of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 293, folio 299 (Canterbury Land Registry Office); and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected shall, if they have any objections to the taking of such land, set forth in writing such objection and send such writing within 40 days from the date of the first publication of such notice, being the 27th day of February 1960, addressed to the Town Clerk, Christchurch.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the said Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open to public inspection at the office of the Council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.
