In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of Volco Paint and Lacquer Co. Ltd. (in liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that the undersigned, the liquidator of Volco Paint and Lacquer Co. Ltd. which is being wound up voluntarily, does hereby fix the 2nd day of March 1960 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 308 of the Companies Act 1955, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before the debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objecting to the distribution.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 19th day of February 1960 confirming reduction of capital of the above-named company from £650,000 to £625,000 and the minute approved by the Court showing, with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, was registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 22nd day of February 1960. The said minute is in the words and figures following:

“The nominal capital of A. S. Paterson and Co. Ltd. is £625,000 divided into 625,000 ordinary shares of £1 each. The issued capital of A. S. Paterson and Co. Ltd. is £324,300 divided into 324,300 fully paid ordinary shares of £1 each.”

BOROUGH OF ONEHUNGA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan, £250,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Onehunga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Onehunga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for providing living accommodation for aged persons, the Onehunga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound (£) on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Onehunga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was passed by the Onehunga Borough Council at a meeting held on Tuesday, 2 February 1960.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taihape Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,750 authorised to be raised by the Taihape Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and providing accommodation for pensioners, the said Taihape Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one seven three of a penny (·173d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taihape and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1959, £15,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Wairoa Electric Power Board held on the 15th day of February 1960, the following resolution was passed:

“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds authorised to be raised by the Wairoa Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Wairoa Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the said Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of point nought four two of a penny (·042d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairoa Electric Power District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
