WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Public Conveniences Loan 1959 of £2,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling, the Waipawa Borough Council, at a meeting held in Waipawa on the 10th day of December 1959, resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000 authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of providing public conveniences, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⁵⁄₁₆ pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Waipawa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify the above to be a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Waipawa Borough Council at a properly constituted meeting held on the 10th day of December 1959.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan (No. 3) 1959 of £12,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing Mabey Road, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and forty thousandths of a penny (.140d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 12th day of November 1959.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan (No. 5) 1959 of £40,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of forty thousand pounds (£40,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing part of Stokes Valley Road, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three hundred and fifty thousandths of a penny (.350d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 12th day of November 1959.

BULLER ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Buller Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £28,000 authorised to be raised by the Buller Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a transmission line to and reticulating the

Karamea area, the said Buller Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one decimal four one of a penny (1·41d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Buller Electric Power District, comprising part of the County of Buller and the whole of the Borough of Westport; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The said special rate is the same rate made by the said Board on the 13th day of March 1951, the 10th day of March 1952, the 9th day of September 1952, the 9th day of March 1953, the 13th day of July 1953, the 12th day of October 1953, the 8th day of February 1954, the 14th day of June 1954, the 21st day of June 1954, the 8th day of November 1954, the 12th day of October 1955, and the 13th day of August 1958 (two) and not additional thereto.”

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely the realignment of railway road in the Borough of Whangarei, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council’s office, Bank Street, Whangarei.

SCHEDULE

THAT piece of land containing 8·3 perches, more or less, being part Lot 18 on Deposited Plan 13841, and being part of Allotment 1, Whangarei Parish, situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District. The same is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 41595, and thereon coloured blue.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Tauranga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the portions of land described in the Schedule hereto.

A plan showing the portions of land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection at the office of the Tauranga County Council, Barkes Corner, Cameron Road, Tauranga, during forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice. All persons affected by the taking of the land and having well grounded objections thereto are hereby called upon to set forth their objections in writing and send the same to the office of the Tauranga County Council on or before the 14th day of January 1960.
