Declaring an Area in the Wellington Acclimatisation District
to be a Wildlife Refuge

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge in the Wellington Acclimatisation District for the purpose of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—HUTT COUNTY

SECTION 82 and part Sections 31 and 91, Wainuiomata District, situated in Block XV, Belmont Survey District: Area, 50 acres 1 rood 38·2 perches, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 141, folio 141.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 10th day of December 1959.

Declaring to What Extent the Provisions of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1959 Shall Apply to the Classification Prepared for the Wairau River Catchment

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to subsection (5) of section 17 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1959, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the provisions of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act 1959, other than those contained in sections 17 and 18 of such Act, shall apply to the classification prepared by the Marlborough Catchment Board prior to the 21st day of October 1959 for the Wairau River Catchment.

Declaring Access Ways and a Service Lane to be Vested in the Corporation of the City of Napier and to be Under the Control and Management of the Napier City Council

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access ways described in the First Schedule hereto and the service lane described in the Second Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Napier and be under the control and management of the Napier City Council.

FIRST SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT

Access Ways Declared

ALL those pieces of land situated in the City of Napier, Hawke’s Bay R.D., described as follows:

Declaring Road in Blocks XII and XVI, Maketu Survey District, Tauranga County, to be County Road

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 8th day of December 1959

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that portion of road situated in Blocks XII and VXI, Maketu Survey District, Tauranga County, commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 15, Block XVI, Maketu Survey District and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 228 chains and terminating at its junction with a public road; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 160673 (S.O. 38614) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked A-B.

Also, all that portion of road situated in Block XVI, Maketu Survey District, Tauranga County, commencing at the south-western corner of Section 32, Block XII, Maketu Survey District, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 8 chains; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 160671 (S.O. 38610) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked A-B.

Also, all that portion of road situated in Block XII, Maketu Survey District, Tauranga County, commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 28 of the aforesaid Block XII, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally for a distance of 138 chains and terminating at the northernmost corner of Section 19, Block XVI, Maketu Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 160672 (S.O. 38612) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked A-B.

Also, all that portion of road situated in Block XVI, Maketu Survey District, Tauranga County, commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 32, Block XII, Maketu Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 64 chains; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 160672 (S.O. 38612) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked C-D.
