PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, heeby proclaim and declare that the stopped Government road described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the development of water power (Benmore Power Scheme); and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 21st day of December 1959.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 9th day of June 1955, published in Gazette, 16 June 1955, Vol. II, page 965, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington as No. 5305, taking additional land for a music and dance hall in the City of Wellington, such land being no longer required.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 15th day of December 1959.

Declaring an Area in the Otago Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge in the Otago Acclimatisation District for the purpose of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Otago Land District and the County of Clutha bounded by a line commencing at the northern corner of that part of Section 13, Block XXII, Clutha Survey District, in certificate of title, Volume 359, folio 197; thence proceeding due east across the Catlins River Branch Railway to and easterly along the western boundary of D.P. 7332 and easterly along the northern boundary of D.P. 7332 and its production to the middle of the adjoining stream of the Koau Branch of the Clutha River; thence generally south-easterly down the middle of that stream to and down the centre of the Koau Branch to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 9127; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and the south-eastern boundary of Section 13, Block XVII, Clutha Survey District, to the north-eastern bank of the Waitapeka Stream; thence north-westerly up that bank to and across the Catlins River Branch Railway; thence generally northerly along the western boundary of that railway to the point of commencement.
As shown on the plan marked I.A. 52/478 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
