NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Matamata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land proposed to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the above Council situated at Tirau and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of the said land who have any objections thereto must state their objections in writing and lodge the same at the office of the County Clerk within 40 days from the first publication of this notice.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
——
In the matter of the Cemeteries Act 1908 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, cemetery extension, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei.
SCHEDULE
THAT piece of land containing 5 acres 3 roods 7·2 perches, more or less, being part Papatawa Block, situated in Block XV, Purua Survey District, and being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 206, folio 79. The land is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 41807 and thereon coloured yellow.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CHANGE THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH LAND WAS ACQUIRED

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to change the purpose for which the land described in the Schedule hereto was acquired (namely for the purposes of an electric light and tramway power station) to some other purpose (namely for a substation site); and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said land is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said city and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the proposed change of purpose should, if they have well grounded objection to the proposed change of purpose, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington containing by admeasurement thirty-two and six-tenths (32·6) perches, more or less, being part of Section 7, Evans Bay District, being part of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 5999, and being the land more particularly shown on S.O. Plan 24379 and thereon coloured orange.

TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
——
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, in operation in the district of Tauranga County (Mount Maunganui), has become due for review under section 30 of that Act and is at present under revision accordingly.
A copy of the operative scheme (and a statement of the changes proposed to be made therein) has been deposited in the Council’s offices and may be inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any time when those offices are open to the public.
The changes proposed to be made are those which were publicly notified as an amendment to the Tauranga County (Mount Maunganui) District Scheme in the Gazette of 10 May 1956, at page 640.
Objections to the proposed changes in the scheme or in respect of any portion of the operative scheme which the Council proposes to confirm without any change may be made by way of written notice in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, or to the like effect, and lodged at the office of the County Clerk marked “Objections to District Scheme” at any time not later than 29 February 1960.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Otahuhu was taken on the 21st day of November 1959, on the proposal of the Otahuhu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £120,000 for the purpose of reconstructing streets in the Borough:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 612
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 570
The number of informal votes was ..... 10
I, therefore, declare that the proposal was carried.

PURSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act 1925, I hereby give notice that, at a poll of ratepayers of the County of Horowhenua taken on the 21st day of November 1959 on the proposal that the system of rating in the said County be on the unimproved value:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ..... 1,817
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 695
I therefore declare the proposal was carried.
