Electricians Act 1952—Names Removed from Registers and Names of Persons from Whom a Provisional Licence has Been Withdrawn, During the Period 1 January 1959 to 30 September 1959

Pursuant to section 18 (2) of the Electricians Act 1952, the following Schedule shows the names and addresses of persons whose names have been removed from the registers and also of persons from whom a provisional licence has been withdrawn during the period stated above.

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work at Himatangi and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 23rd day of November 1959.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared Crown land:
61 acres and 35 perches.
Being railway land, being part Pastoral Sections 325 and 328, Township of Carnarvon.
Situated in Block XIII, Te Kawau Survey District, Manawatu County. (S.O. 24341.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 16321 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Excluding Roads from Speed Limitation

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

Front Street, known locally as Bush Road (from a point 2 chains north-east of its junction with Start Street to the southern boundary of Kaitangata Borough).

Bembridge Street (from its junction with Davidson Street to the junction of Eddystone Street with Bembridge Street).

Limited Speed Zone Declared

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. So much of the Warrant under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 15th day of June 1948,* as relates to the road described in the said Warrant as the Balclutha-Wangaloa Main Highway No. 234 at Stirling in Bruce County is hereby revoked.
  2. The road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956†.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Bruce County at Stirling—
The Kaitangata-Balclutha Road, known previously as the Balclutha-Wangaloa Main Highway (from its junction with Queen Street to a point 4 chains south-east of the junction of Baker Street with the Kaitangata-Balclutha road).
