Taking Additional Land Near Petone for the Purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway and Revoking a Previous Proclamation

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 9th day of July 1951 and published in the Gazette of the same year at page 972, taking additional land near Petone for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway, and hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land taken: 0·52 perches.

Being part Lot 10, D.P. 1784, being part Section 4, Hutt District.

Situated in Block XIII, Belmont Survey District, Borough of Petone. (S.O. 24242.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 15819 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 9th day of February 1959.

Revoking in Part a Proclamation Taking Land at Gisborne for Street Diversion in Connection with the Gisborne-Karaka Railway

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of the Proclamation dated the 17th day of October 1952, and published in Gazette, 23 October 1952, Volume III, page 1730, taking land for street diversion, in connection with the Gisborne-Karaka Railway, as affects the land in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 8·05 perches.

Being part Lot 1, D.P. 2956; situated in the Borough of Gisborne. (S.O. 4730.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 11717 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 9th day of February 1959.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 11th day of February 1959

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of road containing 3 roods 35·9 perches, situated in Block XIII, Opaheke Survey District, Auckland R.D., and adjoining parts Allotment 51, Mangatawhiri Parish; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 158018 (S.O. 41001) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the accessways described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Lower Hutt, and be under the control and management of the Lower Hutt City Council.

PURSUANT to section 8 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs that the proposed accessway described in the Schedule hereto shall be of a width of more than 12 ft but not more than 20 ft.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 11th day of February 1959

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Auckland City Council to lay off the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than 40 ft.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, situated in the City of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 24·8 perches, more or less, being part Lot 75, D.P. 7525, being part Allotments 238B and 238C of Section 16, Suburbs of Auckland; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 157955 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
