Crown Land Set Apart for Railway Purposes at Hawera

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 16th day of February 1959.

ALL those pieces of Crown land in the Taranaki Land District, situated in Block VI, Hawera Survey District, Borough of Hawera, Taranaki R.D., described as follows:

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the Wellington-Foxton Railway (Porirua-Plimmerton Deviation, Porirua-Paremata section) shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point marked 13 miles 49 chains 74 links (Wellington - New Plymouth mileage) on the existing Wellington to Foxton Railway and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 3 miles 12 chains, passing in, into, through, or over part railway land, situated in Block 1, Belmont Survey District; part railway land, part Aotea 3 and 4, part Porirua Harbour, all situated in Block II, Belmont Survey District; part railway land, part closed road, part Porirua Harbour, part Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 11483, being part Sections 80 and 81, Porirua District and accretion, all situated in Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, and terminating at the 17th mile peg (Wellington - New Plymouth mileage) on the Wellington-Foxton Railway, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams and watercourses. All situated in the Wellington Land District as the same is delineated on the plan marked L.O. 15675 (in two sheets) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Gisborne-Karaka railway, and that the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a street diversion in connection therewith.
