Boundaries of County of Geraldine and County of Mackenzie Altered

At the Government House at Wellington this 28th day of October 1959
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER
- On and from the 1st day of December 1959, the area described in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the County of Geraldine and included in the County of Mackenzie.
- The alteration of the boundaries of the said counties hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Counties Act 1956.

SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF GERALDINE AND INCLUDED IN COUNTY OF MACKENZIE
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, County of Geraldine, containing 72,600 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of the County of Geraldine as described in Gazette, 1953, pages 617 and 618, the said point being in the middle of the Phantom River on the boundary between Run 2 and Run 241, Block XII, Fox Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly generally along the north-western and northern boundaries of Run 2 to its north-eastern corner; thence south-easterly, southerly, and westerly generally along the north-eastern, eastern, and southern boundaries of Run 276, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Orari River; thence southerly generally down the middle of that river to Howards Stream; thence westerly up the middle of that stream to the production of the western boundary of R.S. 34447, Block VII, Four Peaks Survey District; thence southerly along that production to the northern boundary of Run 240; thence generally westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of that run, the western boundary of Section 24, Tripp Settlement, the abutment of a road (at the northern end of a Pack Track Reserve) and again the western boundary of the said Section 24 and its production to the northern boundary of Section 25, Tripp Settlement; thence westerly along that boundary, north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 26, Tripp Settlement, to the middle of the Mowbray River and north-westerly generally down the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 26, Tripp Settlement, in Block V, Four Peaks Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the County of Geraldine; thence northerly, north-easterly, and north-westerly generally along that boundary to the point of commencement.

Authorising the Laying Off of a Street off Ikanui Road in the City of Hastings, Subject as to a Condition as to the Building Line

At the Government House at Wellington this 21st day of October 1959

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Hastings City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than 40 ft, subject to a condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 160327 referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 20 ft from the side line of the said street.

THAT proposed street containing by admeasurement 31·5 perches, more or less, situated in the City of Hastings, Hawke’s Bay R.D., and being part Lots 16, 17, 21, and 22, D.P. 3373, part Heretaunga Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 160327 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Authorising the Laying Off of an Extension to Watson Street in the Borough of Green Island, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Green Island Borough Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft, but not less than 40 ft, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 159796 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 15 ft from the side line of the said street.

THAT portion of proposed street in the Borough of Green Island containing 16·9 perches, being part Lot 1, D.P. 9423, and being part Section 101, Block V, Lower Kaikorai Survey District, and part Section 53, Block VII, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159796 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Raglan County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

- (1) This order may be cited as the Lynfield College Board of Governors Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of June 1960. - The constitution of the Board of Governors of the school formerly known as the Blockhouse Bay Post-primary School and now known as Lynfield College, prescribed by the Blockhouse Bay Post-primary School Board of Governors
