DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Loan 1959 of £100,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £100,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the water-supply system, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·1142d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing (Elderly Persons) Loan (No. 2) 1959 of £40,600

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £40,600 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing suitable accommodation for elderly persons, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·02994d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Electricity Development Loan 1959 of £500,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £500,000 authorised to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting substations and works incidental thereto, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·577035d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

GOLDEN BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation and Housing Loan 1959, £40,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Golden Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £40,000 authorised to be raised by the Golden Bay Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving and extending the reticulation system and erecting staff dwellings, the said Golden Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one and five-sixteenths of a penny (1⁵⁄₁₆d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Golden Bay Electric Power Board District, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hutt County Council requires to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of the notice, to the Clerk, Hutt County Council, Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 58 acres 1 rood 8·66 perches, more or less, situate in Block IV of the Belmont Survey District, being parts of Sections 192, 193, and 195A, Hutt District, and being also Lot 1 on D.P. 16738, and Lot 31, on D.P. 15346, and part of Lot 5 on D.P. 5336, and being also the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 397, folio 10 (Wellington Registry).

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Te Aroha Borough Council on 17 September 1957, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the area within the boundaries of the Te Aroha Borough. The scheme has been deposited in the office of the Te Aroha Borough Council, and is there for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above office is open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 30 January 1960.

At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.

BOROUGH OF KAWERAU

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the Borough of Kawerau was approved by the Town Commissioner, by resolution passed on the 8th day of October 1959, after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed.

The Town Commissioner has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 2nd day of November 1959.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the borough office and the public library and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.
