Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 14th day of October 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the Ngatikahungunu Tribe residing in the Rakautatahi Tribal Committee District.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 (5) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on 11 April 1945 and published in Gazette on 23 April 1945, Volume I, page 427, and affecting the Maori freehold land known as Tauhara Middle No. 4A, No. 2B, No. 1 Block, by excluding therefrom the lands set out in the Schedule hereto.

Notice of Intention to Issue Proclamation Vesting Land in the Town of Naseby in Her Majesty the Queen as Crown Land, Subject to the Land Act 1948

COBHAM, Governor-General

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1955, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby give notice that it is my intention, after the expiration of three months from the date hereof, to issue a Proclamation declaring the land described in the Schedule hereto to be vested in Her Majesty as Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

Plans showing this land are deposited in the offices of the Town Clerk, Naseby, the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin, and the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, where they may be inspected during office hours free of charge.

Any objections to the proposal either in general terms or by the registered proprietor or licensee or any other person having any estate or interest in the lands specified in the Schedule hereto are to be made in writing addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Dunedin, on or before the 15th day of February 1960.

Notice Disallowing a Bylaw of the Island Council of Rarotonga

COBHAM, Governor-General

IN exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 45 and 51 of the Cook Islands Amendment Act 1957, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby disallow the bylaw made by the Island Council of Rarotonga on the 13th day of April 1959, cited as the Rarotonga Waterworks Amendment Bylaw 1959, to which the assent of the Resident Commissioner of the Cook Islands was given on the 13th day of April 1959.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 8th day of October 1959.
