STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £2,200 to be known as the Stratford Borough Council Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1959 of £2,200 authorised to be raised by the Stratford Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing accommodation for aged persons, the said Stratford Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·0002 of a pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Stratford, comprising the whole of the Borough of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at a special meeting of the Stratford Borough Council, held on Monday, the 21st day of September 1959.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
City Development Loan 1959, £120,000 (First Issue of £75,000)
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of seventy-five thousand pounds (£75,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewers, storm-water drainage, water supply, roading, erecting conveniences and dressing sheds, and developing reserves, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of two hundred and five-thousandths of a penny (·205d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North City Council held on the 28th day of September 1959.

RUNANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Runanga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £38,400 authorised to be raised by the Runanga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for water reticulation, the said Runanga Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 1s. 7½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Runanga Borough, comprising the whole of the Borough of Runanga; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of June and the 15th day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of Fire Services Act 1949 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Thames County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public works, namely, the acquiring of land for the purposes of the Fire Services Act 1949 and the widening of Port Road in the County of Thames, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said Council, situated in Mary Street, Thames, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public works or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publications of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Mary Street, Thames.
SCHEDULE
(a) Land to be taken for purposes of the Fire Services Act 1949: One rood twenty-six decimal three perches (1r. 26·3p.), more or less, being part of Section 10, Block XVI, Tairua Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume S. 789, folio 297, Auckland Registry, as the same is more particularly delineated on Survey Office Plan 39994, coloured yellow. Subject to section 315 of the Land Act 1924.
(b) Land to be taken for widening of Port Road: Six decimal seven perches (6·7p.), more or less, being part Section 10, Block XVI, Tairua Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume S. 789, folio 297, Auckland Registry, as the same is more particularly delineated on Survey Office Plan 39994, edged yellow, and coloured yellow.

OTAKI BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Otaki proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, housing, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for housing purposes.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must submit their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days of the first publication of this notice to the Otaki Borough Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at the office of the said Council at Main Street, Otaki.
SCHEDULE
ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 37 perches, situate in Block IX of the Waitohu Survey District, being part of the Hanganoaiho 1B Block, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 70, folio 247.

WARKWORTH TOWN COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Warkworth Town Council on the 1st day of October 1959, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the Warkworth Town District. The scheme has been deposited in the Town Council office at Warkworth Library and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 5 p.m., on Friday, 22 January 1960.
At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.
