NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 281 of the Companies Act 1955, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the offices of Messrs Ross, Purdie, and Co., National Bank Chambers, Featherston Street, Wellington, on Friday, the 30th day of October 1959, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before it showing how the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of, and to receive any explanation thereof by the liquidator.

Further Business

To consider and, if thought fit, to pass the following resolution as an extraordinary resolution, namely:

“That, pursuant to section 328 of the Companies Act 1955, the books and papers of the company and of the liquidator be held by the liquidator for a period of five years from the date of the dissolution of the company and be then destroyed.”

Every member entitled to attend and vote at a meeting is entitled to appoint a proxy to attend and vote instead of him. A proxy need not also be a member.

BOROUGH OF MANUREWA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for reconstructing and sealing roads and carrying out storm-water drainage incidental thereto, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal seven nought five pence (.705d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Manurewa, comprising the whole of the Borough of Manurewa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Hawera Extensions Loan 1958, £62,000

THE following resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Hawera Borough Council, held at the Council Chambers, High Street, Hawera, on the 12th day of October 1959:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £62,000 authorised to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of:

(a) Improving existing facilities for water and installing recording plant …… £27,000
(b) Improving and extending existing sewage reticulation and outfall …… £35,000

Total …… £62,000

the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of seventy-seven one hundredths (.77) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hawera, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hawera (defined in Gazette, 1925, at page 1776, and altered by Order in Council recorded in Gazette, 1957, at page 2290); and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
