Objections to Piako County District Scheme (Section 1 - Te Aroha - Waihou)

THE Piako County Council hereby gives notice that the hearing of objections to the district scheme relating to Section 1 (Te Aroha - Waihou) will commence at Te Aroha Court-house, Te Aroha, at 10.30 a.m., on Tuesday, the 10th day of November, and will continue as there arranged from time to time and place to place until all objectors and witnesses have been heard.

All persons who wish to be heard in support of or opposition to any objections shall notify the Council accordingly at least three (3) days before that date in writing on form No. 6 which may be obtained from the County office.

The following is a summary of the subject-matters of objections received by the Council:

  1. C. J. Murphy, Waihou: Against closing of 4th Street, Waihou.
  2. D. R. Johnson, Waihou: Against closing of 4th Street, Waihou.
  3. G. Borrie, Waihou: Against closing of 4th Street, Waihou.
  4. D. B. Allison, Herriesville: Against closing of 4th Street, Waihou.
  5. Mrs A. Hickey, Waihou: Against closing of 1st Street, Waihou.
  6. R. D. Leith, Te Aroha; Leith Concrete Ltd.; R. D. Leith Ltd.: Against zoning of his land, Lot 1, D.P. 36438 of Section 89, corner Stanley and Waihou Roads, as Commercial B and requests Industrial zoning.
  7. Te Aroha Construction Co. Ltd., Te Aroha: Against zoning of land, part Lot 5, D.P. 27534 of Section 89, Waihou Road, Te Aroha, part as Commercial B and part as Rural and requesting Industrial A zoning.
  8. L. C. Russell Est., Waihou: Against zoning of Section 219, Waihou Town as Rural and requesting Industrial A zoning.
  9. L. C. Russell Est., Waihou: Against zoning of Sections 2 and 2A, Waihou Town, as Commercial B and requesting Industrial A zoning.
  10. Mrs B. E. McCarthy, Te Aroha: Against zoning of land at Waihou, Lots 230/239, D.P. 112, as Rural and requesting Residential zoning.
  11. H. D. Mackay, Waihou: Against zoning of his land, Sections 11 and 12, Block XVI, Waitoa S.D., Waihou, as Residential and proposed public reserve and requesting rezoning of this land in an amended manner.
  12. H. D. Mackay, Waihou: Against provision of ordinance requiring residential subdivisions to be of 1 rood each and requesting a smaller area.
  13. D. B. Allison, Herriesville: Against zoning of part Section 11, Waihou, owned by H. D. Mackay, as Residential.
  14. D. B. Allison, Herriesville: Against zoning of land in Bossons Road as rural and requesting Residential zoning.
  15. D. B. Allison, Herriesville: Against zoning of land in Gratten Road, Lot 1, D.P. 14338, as Rural and requesting Residential zoning.
  16. D. B. Allison, Herriesville: Against validity of town planning map on the grounds of alleged inaccuracies.
  17. Thames Valley Drainage Board, Te Aroha: Against lack of provision in ordinances for two matters of land drainage.
  18. Te Aroha Borough Council, Te Aroha: Against no provision being made in plan for cemetery extensions and requesting same to be provided.

ADVERTISEMENT OF CANCELLING

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 5th day of October 1959, cancelled the registry of Loyal Naenae Lodge, of the Wellington District of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Odd Fellows (New Zealand) Friendly Society (Register No. 312/1 (23), held at Naenae, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.
