Stopping Government Road in Block VIII, Otamatea Survey District

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, that road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of road containing 1 acre 1 rood 1·8 perches, situated in Block VIII, Otamatea Survey District, Auckland R.D., and adjoining Lot 2, D.P. 38696, being part Allotments N.E. 179 and M. 179, Parish of Oruawharo, and part Lot 5, D.P. 24208, being part Allotments S.W. 180, N.E. 179, 218, and M. 179, Parish of Oruawharo; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 159868 (S.O. 41269) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 24th day of September 1959.

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line of the Sockburn-Styx Railway

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 18th day of June 1953 and published in Gazette, 25 June 1953, Volume II, page 962, defining the middle line of the Sockburn-Styx Railway, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 5 acres, situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, being Lot 2, D.P. 4676, being part Rural Section 1236. All certificate of title, Volume 330, folio 169, Canterbury Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 29th day of September 1959.

Amending an Order in Council Reapportioning Representation on the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of September 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends, as from the date of the next general election of the members of local authorities, the Order in Council dated the 8th day of December 1948 and published in the Gazette on the 9th day of the same month at page 1509, reapportioning representation on the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board by omitting from the Schedule thereto the words “Bulls Town District”; and, further, determines that the first election of the representative of the combined district of Hunterville Town District and Mangaweka Town District shall be held on the date of the said next general election.

Amending a Licence Authorising the Auckland Transport Board to Erect and Use Certain Electric Lines in the City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Mount Eden and Mount Roskill (Mount Roskill, Point Chevalier, and Three Kings Routes)

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of September 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends, as set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council dated the 9th day of November 1954 and published in the Gazette on the 18th day of the same month, at page 1796, authorising the Auckland Transport Board to erect and use certain electric lines in the City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Mount Eden and Mount Roskill.

SCHEDULE

THE following new paragraph is added at the end of the Schedule thereto:

“(4) White Swan Road Service.

“Lines for two-way traffic commencing at the intersection of May Road with Stoddard Road and proceeding south-westerly along May Road to its junction with Richardson Road; thence north-westerly along Richardson Road to its junction with White Swan Road; thence south-westerly along White Swan Road to a turning circle at its junction with Griffin Road; the aforesaid lines being more particularly delineated by means of red lines on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 524 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.”

Reapportioning Representation on the Grey Electric Power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of September 1959

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby determines as follows:

  1. This Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the next general election of members of local authorities.
  2. The part of the Charleston Riding of the Buller County and the part of the Lyell Riding of that county situated within the Grey Electric Power District shall each be a separate constituent district of the said electric power district.
  3. The constituent districts of the Grey Electric Power District which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be combined districts for the purposes of the said Act.
  4. The local authorities of the constituent districts distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(P)” shall be the principal local authorities of the said combined districts.
  5. The number of representatives of each constituent district or combined district of the Grey Electric Power District on the Grey Electric Power Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district or combined district.
  6. The first election of the representatives of the combined districts shall be held on the date of the said next general election.
  7. The Order in Council dated the 14th day of June 1950, and published in the Gazette on the 15th day of the same month, at page 768, apportioning representation on the Grey Electric Power Board, is hereby revoked.
