Reapportioning Representation on the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of September 1959
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby determines as follows:

This Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the next general election of members of local authorities.

The constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be combined districts for the purposes of the said Act.

The local authority of each of the constituent districts distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(P)” shall be the principal local authority of the combined district of which it forms a part.
-
The number of representatives of each constituent district or combined district of the Te Awamutu Electric Power District on the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district or combined district.

The first election of the representative of the combined district comprising a group of ridings of the Otorohanga County and part Waitomo County shall be held on the date of the said next general election.

The Order in Council dated the 2nd day of October 1956 and published in the Gazette on the 4th day of the same month at page 1355, reapportioning representation on the Te Awamutu Electric Power Board, is hereby revoked.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Mangauika Rural Fire District Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- In this order, unless the context otherwise requires—
The “Act” means the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955:
The “Committee” means the Mangauika Rural Fire Committee constituted by these regulations:
“District” means the Mangauika Rural Fire District.
PART I—CONSTITUTION OF MANGAUIKA RURAL FIRE DISTRICT

The area specified in the Schedule to this order is hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Mangauika Rural Fire District.

The trees and other plants on lands owned by or vested in the Te Awamutu Borough Council and on the scenic reserve situated in the said area are hereby specified as the property for the protection of which the district is constituted.

The period between the 1st day of October in any year and the 30th day of April in the following year (both days inclusive) is hereby declared to be a closed fire season in the district.

The Mangauika Rural Fire District shall, for the purposes of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, be administered by a rural fire committee, which shall be known as the Mangauika Rural Fire Committee.
PART II—REGULATIONS
- The Rural Fire Committee Regulations 1949 shall, so far as they are applicable and with the necessary modifications, apply to the Mangauika Rural Fire Committee constituted by these regulations; and these regulations shall be deemed to be special regulations for the purpose of those regulations.
Members
- The Committee shall consist of six members as follows:
(a) Three persons appointed by the Te Awamutu Borough Council;
(b) One person appointed by the Waipa County Council;
(c) One person appointed by the Hamilton City Council;
(d) One person appointed by the Otorohanga County Council.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—AUCKLAND CONSERVANCY, MANGAUIKA RURAL FIRE DISTRICT
ALL that area in Waipa and Otorohanga Counties containing approximately 3,800 acres, situated in Blocks III, IV, VII, and VIII, Pirongia Survey District, and bounded generally as follows:
Towards the north-east by Allotments 22 and 10, Pirongia Parish; towards the east generally by a road traversing Allotment 305, Pirongia Parish, by the crossing of that road, thence by Allotments 305 and 306, Pirongia Parish, and by Section 8, Block IV, Pirongia Survey District; towards the north-east by Section 8 aforesaid, and Section 2, Block VIII, Pirongia Survey District; towards the south-east by Kaipihia No. 10A Block, Lots 1 and 2 on D.P. 9029, and Kaipihia Nos. 7 and 6A Blocks; generally towards the south by part Mangauika 3B Block and the Mangauika Stream; towards the east by Mangauika 1B 1 Block, Whakairoiro 5c 2c Block, and Section 20, Block VII, Pirongia Survey District; towards the south-west by the Te Tahi Road; towards the west by permanent State forest land (Gazette 1948, page 1341), Section 6, Block III, Pirongia Survey District, and Mangauika B 2 Section 2 Block; towards the north-east by Allotments 367 and 366, Pirongia Parish; towards the west by Allotment 366 aforesaid; and towards the north generally by a public road. As shown on plan No. 36/15 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

The Papakaio Rabbit District Order 1959 (Notice No. Ag. 6833)

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Papakaio Rabbit District Order 1959.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Papakaio Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 2nd day of November 1955,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE PAPAKAIO RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Waitaki County and in the Borough of Oamaru containing 100,300 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Waitaki River and the Awamoko Stream; thence generally south-westerly up the centre of the Awamoko Stream to the Pukeuri-Kurow-Omarama Main Highway; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that highway to Boundary Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of that road to Bobbing Stream Road; thence southerly along the western boundary of that road to the Ngapara Branch Railway; thence generally south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that railway to Windsor Road; thence north-easterly along the northern boundary of that road to and across the Waiareka-Ngapara-Duntroon Main Highway; thence generally south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that highway to its junction with the Timaru-Dunedin State Highway; thence easterly along the northern boundary of that highway and Wansbeck Street and its production to the shore of the Oamaru Harbour; thence generally north-easterly along the seashore to the mouth of the Waitaki River; thence generally westerly along the centre of the main stream of the Waitaki River to the point of commencement.
