Cancellation of the Vesting in the Maniototo County Council and Change of the Purpose of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Maniototo and changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for plantation purposes to a reserve for a site for a Scout Hall.

2. The portion of road specified in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 36 of the Transport Act 1949.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of an automatic telephone exchange, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is further hereby given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Kaka Point and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send the writing within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
